damnit, my beer is skunked

which normally doesnt bother me much. but its particularly offensive this time, and its one of my favorite lagers, too

Told ya, the Pilsner Urquell is almost always heavily skunked. It's probably better in the cans, if you can find it.

very "run of the mill" some might say, but a good beer is a good beer, even if it's ordinary. imo, german beer has earned it's reputation as much as any other. i enjoy a good german beer whether it's a hefe, a bock, and altbier, or even a dunkel or a variety of golden lager.....

and imo while its quite ordinary, spaten is also quite good. if you can get it fresh enough. honestly this is the only time it has dissappointed me. but oh well, you take what you get. if i get tired of this i do have black rum....as well as not drinking:tongue:

but fuck that, i'm alone in my apartment for the last night. we've been moving the past two days and i'm tired as hell. my parents helped, my sister/roommate did not. they are back to ohio because my mom and sister are going to florida for vacation tomorrow.

i am left to take care of the final responsibilities and drive home 4 hours on my own tomorrow

i'm tired, so the plan is early to bed, early to rise. for that, i need at least a nice buzz :cheers2:

I don't mind skunked beer....shit, I drank a two day old keg the other night.

I drink busch and bud and shit though. A more expensive beer would piss me off though

 

4 hours isn't that bad of a drive.

Enjoy the buzz! I'm gonna dive into some Heineken myself....simply because it is the only beer in the house. I am waiting for HoneySuckleBlue to get here for the weekend and she won't be here until midnight.....or about...so I might as well keep myself buzzed as I go about cleaning some more for the bday party we will be having here tomorrow.
