to my friends house in her developing neighborhood and I saw this sign so i came to the conclusion : women don't work, only men
Presuming That Was Placed There By A Road Repair Crew, I Would Have To Say, Not Too Many Women Dig Trenches And Jackhammer Roads... Cheers Glen.
You don't expect women to build houses do you? No, a house is not a delicious turkey dinner. Not at all.
Spelling people working would mean more letters... More letters cost money. (that's my BS theory and I'm sticking with it)
I agree.. most women don't build houses, but it was just something I wondered about when i passed it.
In today's political environment, more women are joining the workforce traditionally reserved for men. I worked 10 years on road crews, for Caltrans. I saw quite a few women beginning to do jobs traditionally held for men. Granted, they didn't "look" much like women, but still, they were "digging trenches and jackhammering roads". There was a sign that was supposed to encourage caution around work crews, that said "Give 'em a brake". A lot of those signs got tampered with. They ended up saying "Give 'em a bra" after the mischief.
