I mean, I thought women because they could be sexy. Indian though men because men would feel more comfortable buying product/video.

I know a gay guy that works in one,
and a woman that used to work in one.

I guess it depends on the type shop.

If it is mostly a mag/movie shop a guy might be better..
if it has mostly clothes / costumes and some toys a woman might be better.

 

I have been to about 6 different porn shops in my life and their were men working at each one.

I think the reasoning goes that men would not feel comfortable buying porn from an attractive woman.

I'd probably say women.. If I owned a porn shop I'd probably wanna hire women.

I would say that men would rather work at a porn shop than women, though.

 

Most porn shops hire dumpy looking fat guys to work behind the counter. Or skinny, emaciated dudes with spiky hair and covered in tattoos.

I haven't been in a porn shop in a very long time, though.

One of the few times i went into a porn store there was an old lady working there... good thing i was only there to buy a bong...

 

I've seen all different types at the different porn & smoke combo shops around here. Gay, straight, male, female, and everywhere in between.
It's a true equal opportunity market. lol

i thought that cause me and cate are so good looking most men would feel awkward and intimidated buying porn for us


the best porn shop i went into was in poland and there was a little old lady knitting behind the counter
there were random sex masks and hats and toys all over the front room and a dirty back room with movies
it was hilarious for me

 

The guy I knew, that worked in one- said the weirdest thing was the very elderly men who would come in and buy the largest scariest toys.

I guess, when considering hiring someone for the job you have to think about the things like that ,that they will have to see, and the attitude they might have/reaction they would need to have...
a beautiful, yet meek looking young girl - or sweet older lady ,might not be the person you'd want pick.

A funny thing isnt it, all the guys you've known your whole life, plutonically or otherwise, you still have to sit here and try and reason this stuff out, they are half the population, they are all around you, they are everywhere.

Sex shops tend to hire women from what I've seen, I don't know about porn shops though. I'd assume men.
