Have any of you here read it? I just came across it today, and my goodness... just reading a few pages here and there... it seems like it truly parallels my subjective interpretation of God (which is always growing). The book is trying to seperate God from religion, and that God's light doesn't rest in any dogma, but in love and harmony, ultimately. I always looked at religions as just a cultures interpretation of ____, and that ___ is something so unexplainable... the inevitable blessing of this beautiful earth (regardless it's creation - to try to objectify it is unavoidably just an assertion, created by learnt assumption) is where i always found my spiritual self, and it's destruction is where i always found my mind and thought... is the urantia book something that you think i might truly enjoy? all 2000+ pages =P thank you all, much much love.
what is that second line you wrote?, the I AM... ? i checked ou tthe link on your signature, and alot of people were speaking of sub rosa. what's sub rosa?
I've had a copy for a while now and have never gone about tackling it beyond the first few pages. It's a heavy read, it seems, and I've never had a clear enough slate to really put the effort into it. I hope to sometime soon, though.
Strangely, probably the secret is to not start with the front of the book. The Forward and the first sections are very difficult. You might try starting somewhere past page 651 or even somewhere past page 1323. And, you can even skip around wildly throughout the Book if you so choose. The multitude of topics covered by the Book are in most cases lightly interconnected so you won't miss too much.
...if you do get into it and need some feedback...let me know...I don't know it all but have a pretty good handle on it...best wishes man...
