Even if this were to mean that Jesus is Co-equal to God this would only be a Biune God not a triune God.

Also when Sarah called Abraham lord in her heart did that mean she thought that Abraham was God?

Additionally, as I already mentioned, Ignatius calls Almighty God “the only true God, the unbegotten and unapproachable, the Lord of all, the Father and Begetter of the only-begotten Son,” showing the distinction between God and His Son. He speaks of “God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” And he declares: “There is one God, the Almighty, who has manifested Himself by Jesus Christ His Son.” And in the quote you supply, Ignatius is still calling Jesus "the only-begotten Son" and this would seem to imply that Almighty God is the creator and Jesus is a creation.

Christians are not to be concerned about the sabbath, so what difference does it make? (Colossians 2:16)

isn't the Sabbath a day of rest? and to meditate on God?

16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

I honestly dont think its speaking of a christian sabbath BUT then again the word is JEWISH.

    Exodus 20
8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Of course Christians are to be concerned with everything in the Bible, for it all has meaning for us but as for Christians celebrating one day of the week as a Sabbath Day, that is not a concern for Christians.

All of mankind was not given the law covenant it was only given to the Jews, so if you are not a Jew, Exodus chapter 20 would not apply to you.

And second, Romans 10:4; Romans 7:6; ; Hebrews 7:18-19; Hebrews 8:6-13; Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15 seem to be saying that Christians are no longer under the law regardless of whether they are a Jew or not.

So if a Christian wants to set aside one day a week for a "sabbath" he can do so or not as he so chooses but as Colossians 2:16 points out we should not concern ourselves with what day he chooses for his "sabbath" or whether he chooses a "sabbath" at all.

Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had done. 3. So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it.

God established the seventh day of the week as the Sabbath long before the establishment of the Jews.

Jesus also kept the Sabbath. See Luke 4:16 6:1,2,7,9. 13:10,. Strongs Exhaustive Concordance lists over 30 references to this fact.

As for Col. 2:16 Look at the context. Paul was addressing the problem of Jewish Christians trying to tell the Gentile Christians that they had to observe the various Jewish holy days in order to be a Christian. This does not refer to the weekly Sabbath

No Sabbath was celebrated by mankind until God established it for the people who were released from Egypt.

Part of Jesus was to do was fulfill the Law so of course he observed the Sabbath but Jesus also released Christians from that Law or do you still worship at the nonexistent Temple too?

The Ceremonial Law pointed forward to the Messiah and one of the purposes of his first coming was to restore The Ten Commandments to the human heart.

Why would anyone reject a day that reminds us that God made us and redeemed us? See Hebrews 4. Hebrews was written before the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. The following verses are taken from New King James.

    Hebrews 4: 1-10

1.Therefore since a promise remains of entering His rest let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.

    2. For indeed the gospel was preached to us well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

    3. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My Wrath, They shall not enter my rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

4.For he has spoken in a certain way "And God rested on the seventh day from all his works

5.and again in this place: They shall not enter My rest

6.Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience

    7. again he designates a certain day saying in David, Today after such a long time as it has been said: Today if you will hear his voice, Do not harden your hearts.
    8. For if Joshua had given them rest then He would not have afterword have spoken of another day.

9.There remains therefore a rest for the people of God

10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his work works as God did from his.

Matt 19:17 But if you want to enter into life keep the commandments.

John 14:15 If you love me keep my Commandments.

I John 2:3-5 Now by this we know that we know Him if we keep his Commandments. He who says, " I know Him and does not keep his Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in Him. But whoever keeps his word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know we are in Him.

Rev. 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are they who keep the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Matt. 28:1 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn...

Mark 16:1 NOw when the Sabbath was past Mary Magdalene Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices that they might come and anoint Him. 2.Very early in morning on the first day of the week they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

Acts 14:42,44 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God

Acts 16:13 And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside where prayer was customarily made.

Acts18:4 And he reasoned in the synogogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

Thats right the Apostles, the Jewish and Gentile Christians where keeping the Sabbath well after the Crucifixion and Resurrection. They obviously didn't think that they were released from keeping the Sabbath.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus is the same yesterday today and foever

The Fourth Commandment is the only Commanment that begins with the word Remember. The Sabbath is the block of time that God has set aside for us to focus on our relationship with Him. The Sabbath reminds us of and points us to our Creator and Redeemer. By keeping it we recognize His Authority to Command us to set aside that time to enter into His rest. His rest is deliverance from sin and that loving living relationship with Him that made us.

Mark 2:27,28 The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath 28 Therefore the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath

Yet again "If you love me keep my Commandments." John 14:15

Right now I'm getting off of here and am gonna go enjoy some more physical, and mental rest by engaging in serious study of the inside of my eyelids.

May I suggest that You use a Concordance if you wish to engage in serious indepth study of the Bible. I suggest Cruden Complete Concordance. All the above verses were taken from the New King James Version which is widely recognized as being highly accurate.

Now I suggest that you do as Act 17:11 suggests and search the scriptures to find out whether those things are so. When you do, do so with an open mind and ask for God's guidance to help you discover His truth.

    Have a good Sabbath

Okay before we go though and discuss what each of these scriptures is actually is talking about in context. Let me ask you a few questions about the Sabbath.

Why is it that the history of a weekly 24-hour sabbath observance begins with the nation of Israel in the wilderness in the second month after their Exodus from Egypt in 1513 B.C.E. (Ex 16:1) and not with God’s earlier servants?

Do you personally cease from all labors on the Sabbath? Which would include cooking or even starting a fire?

Do you observe these requirements of the Sabbath:
A special burnt offering, along with grain and drink offerings, was made, in addition to the regular daily “constant burnt offering.” (Nu 28:9, 10) The showbread was renewed in the sanctuary, and a new division of priests took up their duties.

Do you observe all the Sabbaths of the sabbatical system that was composed of many types of Sabbaths such as: the 7th day, the 7th year, the 50th year (Jubilee year), Nisan 14 (Passover), Nisan 15, Nisan 21, Sivan 6 (Pentecost), Ethanim 1, Ethanim 10 (Atonement Day), Ethanim 15, and Ethanim 22. or only the weekly or 7th day Sabbaths?

Oh and one other thing, a small thing but still, it's part of the Sabbath law, do you stone people to death for breaking the Sabbath?

As for; “Why would anyone reject a day that reminds us that God made us and redeemed us?” Why would one settle for just one day, should we not be reminded of God every day?

PS “All the above verses were taken from the New King James Version which is widely recognized as being highly accurate.” We can use the New King James Version if you wish but as for it being widely recognized as being highly accurate, the fact remains that it is based solely upon the ancient texts available during the time of King James (1611) and not on earlier manuscripts and documents which have since been discovered, which would seem to make it less accurate than some newer translations that make use of the more recently discovered earlier manuscripts.

I dnt remember where in Matthews but isnt their a part where people where about to stone someone and then Jesus asked if you never sinned then you can throw a stone at the sinner and then everyone didn't throw a stone?

so is you argument accurate? for stoning people?

I am not the one advocating the observance of a weekly Sabbath. The stoning to death of violators of the Sabbath is part of the Sabbath law, that law I believe was done away with but if someone believes that the Sabbath law is still in effect then it is only reasonable to ask if they stone people to death as well.

As for the scripture you're thinking of, it is John 8:7; interestingly, there is some debate whether the section of scripture that it's in should be included in the Bible, as there seems to be a lack of support for it from some of the earlier manuscripts. But in any case it deals with a case of adultery and not the breaking of the Sabbath.

Well something like that, He said; “Who of YOU, if his son or bull falls into a well, will not immediately pull him out on the sabbath day?” and the Sabbath was on Saturday not Sunday.
