http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?name=Tutorials My guess is molybdenum deficiency, but I'm no expert by any means.
Your plant looks reasonably healthy , so the purple could just a characteristic of the strain - don't worry about it. PAX
Hi, Manic. I agree.. Humm.. it is Perty.. Id leave it alone, you got other plants??, Treat it with care, grow as is, unless it starts wilting. Im going with a high nitro soil, or Cold room temps??.. I also dont see to bad a tip burns, looks kinda normal for a cold room too..
it looks fine. since its winter, maybe its just got a bit of a cool draft near it. in any case: if its healthy and purple, SCORE!
Maybe purple top an out doors strain if i remember rite. Gawd would love a garden of different coloured plants, aww maybe 1 day.
its more than likely cold temperature. A lot of outdoor plants here develop a purple shade because the climates pretty shit Last time I checked on my plants one had the same type of shading but it was crimson instead. Looks really mad
bloom fertilizers will cause this Purple.. i dont know why I didnt mention this in the first place.. High Phosphates , low nitrogen ..
u can tell that its in the strain by noticing that all the leafs are tinged with purple, and have the same pattern great!~~
It's amazing nobody said Nitrogen def. N is what gives the leaves their green color, lacka N leaves go purple.
the reason I don't think it's a nitrogen deficiency is because the leaves will start turning a light green and then yellow and then eventually turn purple. the plant will look quite sickly and stunted in it's growth. these plants look healthy with maybe a touch of fertilizer burn- I think it might be the strain. I can't remember the name of the strain that I grew years ago, but the leaves started off purple and then turned a dull red. PAX
Pax, possible, but it's obviously indica dominant (wide leaves). When I last grew Cal. Big Bud The girls were in flower when I noticed the same symptoms, gave them some N dominant ferts and cleared them right up, 'till close to harvest when of course they were supposed to turn that color. This plant way too young to be going purple, don't suppose Newbeontherise has an update.....?>P
