I know... We fuglies hate you beautiful people But in reality I think a lot of personal preference here is based solely on looks
I think people are more apt to be accommodating to attractive people... I think real life is that way too... but I think looks play a large role in peoples interactions here.
I disagree.. I like pics. Edit: I don't treat people different because of what they look like. If they "deserve a compliment" then I'll compliment them, but I normally have no idea what someone looks like before I like them. Also, a lot of peoples pictures are on private (or so I assume)..
:cheers2: I'll drink to that. I prefer for my reputation to be based entirely on my lack of useful content.
I do too... I mean some of the women here just make me :drool5: like hell... But I think a large emphasis is placed on looks, and I think conversations and opinions are skewed by physical attraction at time
Conversation wise? How so? Somebody's appearance has nothing to do with the things they say and the opinions they express, at all, but it is a factor in how those same things are received...
I find that genuine photos help me understand who they are. I know people can steal pics from other people or whatever, but if I can actually see what someone looks like it helps me trust them, and doesn't make it so "stranger-like". There are some exceptions, like Vibes, Hairy, Nick and Neo.. But I chat with them enough to trust they are who they say they are. Just a weird thing I have. It's better off ignored.
I agree with you to a certain extent but I also think personality wins out in the end, a majority of the time. Most of the regular posters here have enough balls (or should I say, too much brains?) to engage people according to who they are and not how their sexy angle shots portray them, yourself included, I assume. Seriously, who likes Sadie? (besides myself) I also think that the photos aspect gives the place a more "real life" feel. It is nice to feel like you're talking to a real human being and not just a string of characters.
Exactly. I think it shows the true personality, or a side of it, of the people who are on the receiving end as in real life, so its more natural to be able to see who you are talking to or at least know what they look like.
It doesn't matter what they look like. I just want to see. Kind of the same as how I want to hear what forumers sound like, it helps me put accents and tones what they say. I like having an image of someone I talk to. I also think that beautiful people don't get away with stuff more than the rest of us. If a person is stupid/discriminating/annoying, it comes across in their posts, and they get internet-bashed too. That's why we have BSR.
