Would you miss Saturday mail if the Postal Service stopped delivering it?

We don't get mail on Sat or Sun.

 

I think most countries don't have Saturday mail service.

 

It's all junk catalogs and bills that I have to pay within a week or two. Who cares what day it gets delivered?

 

The Only Time I Have Had A Saturday Delivery, Was To My Private Box

When Xmas Day Was On Sunday, And They Were Trying Make Sure As

Many Customers As Possible Got Their Mail Before Xmas...

No, I don't usually check it that often anyway, but I'm glad to know now that they're considering eliminating it, since I didn't take that job delivering the Saturday mail, lol.

i check my mail about once a week.

 

i just want to say it will be a sad sad day when this happens. not everyone uses the internetz for everything. i can't find a damn stamp machine to save my life. the mailman doesn't even care enough to reach into my box to grab my outgoing rent check b/c supposedly there was a bug on it. so it got ripped open by a crakchead. also, i put the flag up on my box yesterday for more outgoing mail, and i came out of my house this morning to see that someone had flipped the flag down. fuck! i hate my neighborhood.

 

The Postal Service is a very shitty band that shouldn't deliver anything.

 

I've always felt bad for people stuck working Saturdays.

I would miss it... But would certainly be willing to make that sacrifice if it would cut some prices back... Like, I'm not really looking forward to 50-75 cent stamps...

 

I wish that Saturday deliveries would stop. saturday is a busy market day we do not need that extra traffic on the road, consuming energy.

When I was a kid, the post man walked his route with a rolling golf bag looking thing Now thay are all on trucks.

Cuttting Saturday would give those folks a day off and reduce expenses perhaps increases in postage would come less often.

I could support mail three times a week. Businesses excepted.

 

No...the drivers who work on Saturdays would lose their jobs. The Saturday drivers are just their substitute drivers, and Saturdays are the only day they're guaranteed. And the routes can take up to 10 hours to drive, I can't imagine how long it would be on foot.

I would not miss it at all.Matter of fact I'd be fine if they delivered it only 3 days a week. --However when I hear they want to do it because of lack of money,or to save money etc. I say that's a bunch of nonsense.--A different topic,but if the US stopped spending trillions of dollars around the world,and spent the money on its citizens,the government could literally provide every citizen over 21 years of age with a brand new Rolls Royce.
