I just read In Hanumans hands. It's the story of this second generation Indian American who in college falls into a world of drug dealing, drops out of college, and starts living on the streets.

Througout the book he's looked after and eventually saved with the help of Lord Hanuman.

I adored it. Highly reccomended.

cate speaks the truth. i did a fashion show years ago (i think maybe during my senior year of high school) and i felt huge compared to those toothpick girls. my neighbor is into pageant management and she also manages bridal fashion shows and some other stuff - i owed her a favor so i walked in an ethnic fashion show for her and it was pretty fun, nothing at all like the first one. i got to wear some insane tribal wear so it was pretty dope (did i just say dope? so Fresh Prince of me...)
