We need a latenight show. We don't have even one. Anyone remember Mike Bullard? He sucked. We had Tom Green, he left. And J.R. Digs is just creepy. If we did have one, who would be a good host? Patrick McKenna might make a decent one. (Harold from The Red Green Show). Or one of the main guys from the Trailer Park Boys.

Agreed. And that just shows you how pathetic our latenight shows have been. A dumbass with a handi-cam on Rogers public access at 1:00 in the morning was the last latenight show we had.

Ugh, no thanks. All he does is make jokes about his ethnicity. Boring. The idea of a latenight show is to entertain people, not put them to sleep. I'd rather have Mike Bullard back. And he REALLY sucked.

Thanks to Elle for reminding me...I've though of the perfect Canadian to host a latenight show here (Drum roll........)

    Mike Meyers!

He's funny, popular therefore I'm sure A LOT of people would tune in, and Americans like him too. Win, win, and win. :D

Does anyone briefly remember the Devil's Advocats when they had their own show?

Pretty sure ol' sex with Sue is still late night. ;)

Yeah. I used to watch Speaker's Corner a lot, and they were my favourite people to watch. Their show was really funny at first, and then the material kindda dried up.

Haha. Yeah, it was an improve show like Who's Line right? They were way better on Speakers Corner.

I used to watch a lot of Mike Bullard. I hated him at first but then I sorta came to like him. Mostly 'cause he was on Comedy Central rotation.

I don't mind Red Green. We all know the Simpsons is the longest syndicated comedy on TV. Did you know Red Green was number two! Gotta give it to the old bugger for going that long. Though I preferred the Smith n' Smith stuff. Patrick Mckenna would make a good host.

Anyone remember Rick Green's Prisoners of Gravity? We need more shows like that.

I remember when that Corky and the juicepigs singer guy had a show...I loved it...but it sure wasnt on for long....and there was another a while back where Corky and his pigs had a little segment every week..I dont remember who hosted it

...I really miss Zed TV on CBC...why the hell does CBC cancel all the good shows

It all comes back to poor funding my friend. That's why TVO asks for money. We don't support our television people enough.

Am I the only one here who thinks that The Hour is a late nite show?
you know George Strombo on CBC at 11 pm? and to boot- he actually listens to what his guests have to say much better than most american late nite talk show hosts.

Oh, wow. Mike Bullard. I had to google image him, it's been SO long since I heard that name.

George Stroumboulopoulos with 'The Hour' is basically the closest thing we get.
