Out of Left Field...

So, I call my mom up about an hour ago, and she tells me she is pregnant!

First thing I said was, "Don't tell me you're having a kid out of wedlock!"

Turns out, she is!

WHOOOOOOOOP! I am so fucking excited! It's like I am gonna be a father! Well, I am going to do my best, I am going back to my mom in several months!

I don't when, yet.

My mom also told me she is willing to move, which is great news. I would not want to help raise a kid around her devil family.

Shit, I got a lot to think about and a lot to talk about.

I am so fucking excited, I am awestruck!

it's good you're taking it so well and your circumstances are good. that's a major life event and i could imagine it would possibly be negative for some people.

 

Your mom is very lucky to have such a supportive son. You have the best possible attitude about this- because as Snyfin pointed out- it could well be taken very negatively. You're bringing an incredibly positive attitude to it which will only help.

First off congrats! Being a big brother is pretty cool I must say. I was in a similar situation a few months ago when my little brother and his GF had a baby. At first I was kinda upset mainly at how they could be that irresponsible seeing as they were 18 and 19 years old at the time, still in school full time and really not even thinking about having a baby, but they are doing extremely well with her and it really is a blessing, plus the whole being an uncle thing is pretty sweet.

Also now you will have an excuse to play with toys again!

Eric, I got two younger brothers. And if you don't have palm trees and a scorching sun, I don't think I could make it in Minnesota.
