Did anyone else find that this summer, the movies have been really lackluster?? i mean in comedy, the only good one was the Hangover, and i guess funny people was OK just to long, and bruno was fucking boring. Action, not much really Sci Fi, alot of selection, Transformers2, T4 startrek, District 9 and District 9 was overrated and star trek was errmm i just think this year there wasnt alot of good movies. 2008 and 2007 where alot better
What does District 9 being overrated have to do with how good it is? I go into every movie, that I actually decide to pay and see in theater, with the expectation it will be good but at the same time, I would never be that surprised if it was horrible. I have expectations but I don't need them to be met, I just hope they are. I don't get when the first thing people say about a movie that they saw, is that it's overrated. Are you really that concerned with other people's opinion of the movie? I don't care what you think of District 9, I am just making a point. Anyways I've seen the following this summer: Moon: A+ Bruno: C+ Star Trek: B District 9: B Funny People: B- Hangover: B+ Up: A+ I still want to eventually see Year One, Land of the Lost, Terminator Salvation, The Hurt Locker, and Public Enemies.
no you don't lol And i can't believe i forgot Up! Best disney movie ever. And the reason i pointed out that District 9 is overrated, is that i didn't enjoy, but alot of people did. Just pointing that out.
I've just heard pretty much every person tell me that it's overrated but not really why they didn't like it, I just felt like enough is enough! haha Ya, when I was watching Up, I had a satisfied smile across my face the entire time. It's just one of those types of movies. I loved the talking dogs, I want one of those collars for mine.
whoever buys a ticket to see a movie for $9.50, $10.00 needs to have their head examined by a professional psychiatrist ..
I reckon it is is cycles. It wouldn't be right if every single year produced across the board brilliant movies. Plus it is a matter of taste. Some people will be happy to sit through a French existential contemplation of a mother and daughters relationship...but seriously, that would bore the crap out of me. Perhaps the mainstream movies have been mediocre this year, I dunno, I have not seen any of them - lol.
theres some good ones coming soon. i just watched the trailer for tim burton's alice and wonderland.. looked good, also found out they have a trailer out already for the lovely bones... enjoyed the book, but read it years and years ago. but the movie looks interesting. but yeah, the summer movies sucked. unless your a harry potter fan. and i am indeed not.
Im not a harry potter fan, but i was when i was younger. I downloaded the 6th one and it sucked the cack
i saw the hangover, terminator salvation, harry potter, angels and demons, and the goods im seeing the time travelers wife in a few days i cant wait for the new halloween movie to come out in general, the movies have been mediocre though and whats with all the remakes coming out soon?
I haven't been to the movies in forever. The last time I went was when I went on a double date to see My Bloody Valentine. My buddy lost his virginity that night so I guess it wasn't a complete loss of a night.....
They re-make movies because they can't come up with any good ideas for a movie. Public enemies was the only movie I saw and hangover both were pretty good.
I thought the movies that came out this summer were pretty decent. The movies that are coming out this fall seem even better, though!
Holy shit. That movie looks amazing. I definitely wanna see that. I can't wait to see Inglorious Basterds either. I think it came out today!
