In SE Ontario, along with severe thunderstorm warnings...And I've never seen a tornado here in my life. I shall put up a sign directing them to the nearest trailer park...

I'm sure it'll pass us by. But, if you never hear from me again, assume the worst.

On avg. the US has over 1000 tornadoes a year.

Canada has 80+ on avg. "they seem to be proud of it in a way"
Ever chase a tornado ? I did, once.

Houses in Canada hold up better because they're built for colder climates. Just how thick are they ,in general? R-value anyone?

same. Although it looks pretty gnarly in Quebec right now. I can see a lot of lightning across the river.

Yes, really. I followed it for about 3 miles, mostly from a 1/4 mile behind it then it stopped an back-tracked, I'm not sure if it was the lack of air or too much air but the winds killed my engine and I couldn't get it restarted until it was 100 yards in front of me. I had to back down a narrow muddy dirt road 40 mph "the whole 3 miles" to get out of its way.
    Fuck That Shit! Never Again.

Currently Aspen Co., I grew up north of K.C. Mo. I've seen alot of tornadoes in my days.
