Why are they so fucking annoying? I'm trying to sit on my roof and enjoy a nice blunt to the face to nurse my hangover, but I got this fucking tree full of the little fuckers right to my left just buzzing so loud. I was about to puke because of the noise.
yea, i hate them too, that is why you dont sit on your roof and smoke a blunt if they are in a tree next to ya, here is a tip for you: go inside and light that bad boy up and listen to some good music
how could you hate something so soothing?.. I take you like industrial noises like trains, cars, planes... and pttf.. humans beings.. .. why dont you go down the store and get some insecticide foggers, or call the military in to drop some napalm.. gezze.
i agree, i love them its like they sing for you, it is soothing in my opinion, and the more you listen the louder they sing
I hope I'm not thinking of the same bug you guys are talking about. These motherfuckers just buzz and buzz and buzz real loud. It seems they always do it at the worst possible times to
if you are talking about cicadas we are talkn about the same insect...pretty cool shit! also hve you seen one up close...ive seen a dead one, they are beautiful!
I'm pretty sure they look different from that, but same basic shape. I just don't get why everyone thinks its a good sound, its annoying as shit. More annoying than a lawnmower.
they are soooooo loud at night im from the west coast this is new to me at night it sounds like were being invaded or something it's bizarre
Try reading up on them, they are a fascinating creatures. The North American Cicadas, which has a number of distinct "broods" that go through either a 17-year or, in the American South, a 13-year life cycle. These long life cycles both happen to be prime numbers. That's why, although there appears to be some Cicadas every year, every 13 years or so there is a massive increase in their numbers. As a youth it was interesting to me to find their amber colored skin shells on trees and know that 13 years had passed for this creature and know that not everything is on a yearly cycle and wonder if there there are other things, perhaps on longer life cycles, that we don't even know about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cicada
no, i mean i REALLY flipped shit. i'm terrified of bugs, so just imagine one of THOSE falling on you if you have this extreme fear... jesus christ i SCREAMED bloody murder and sprinted like 2 laps around the yard
