Well, what are some cool things you guys do to help your hair lock up (Or just cool things that are in better favor for your dreads) Not like, washing it, but I mean like swimming in the ocean, etc. Well? I'd love to go to the beach and swim, I mean hell, I live in a vacation state. But I'm completely terrified of sharks and other stuff that will bite/eat me if I go into the water. Also, Is swimming in a pool with chlorine good/bad for newer locks? I wanna go swimming so bad :hat:
I dont think you really need to do anything but sea water is meant to be good. Also when I bleached my dreads the bits that never fell out tightened up majorly!
chlorine makes them like sticky and nasty feeling and takes alot of washing out, so I don't swim in pools, with new dreads swimming is going to free some loose hairs faster, but they'll lock back up again later anyway. Sea water makes me smell liek sea weedz, also requires washing to remove seaweedness, I have never experienced salt water 'helping' dreads but thats just me.
Wool. Worsted wool felted into your hair can help it lock in those places that are resistant to locking.
I wasn't really looking for tips haha, just like some cool shit you can do, that helps your dreads along their way in the process, like, rafting, etc. I want bird migration to post here, but he's probably in india or some place edit: Yay, red diamond. Nice job np.
I don't know if it really helps but it feels it - My final rinse, when washing, I do with cold water. Started after noticing how the hot/cold felted up a wool wrap. Expand n' contract.
