Just wondering seeming as it's the festival season in the UK, if anyone's ever been barefoot at a music festival. I went to Leeds fest last year barefoot and the mud was amazing!
The supermarkets surrounding the festival area in Reading never fail to be awash with barefoot people during the festival if the weather is good.
Havent been to one for a couple of years but I was barefoot at glastonbury in knee deep mud in 2005. It was really warm too and probably the most amazing sensation ive ever experienced. There were loads of bf people there, male and female
just come back, got weekend ticket, while I barefooted it as I'm sure you did Kay E Dee there were too many wellies for my liking. Even my sister who's not a barefooter at least stuck with flip-flops. That said, it was a bit on the nippy side...
Yeah, wellies are the new festival chic unfortunately. Still, saw plenty of bare feet today amongst the wellied legs.
Ironic that the person who gained the most publicity for being barefoot at Reading was Little Boots, who shed her shoes (and threw them to the crowd) for the final song in her set. The BBC re-played the set today. (Watch from 25:30 of this video)
I went to Shambhala a few weeks ago and although I wore flip flops a lot of the time, a lot of the time I was also barefoot. Btw, this is my first post in this forum, so just want to give a little "hi". =) I lurk in this forum every once in awhile and I never realized that so many ppl wear shoes so often. I mean... I'm barefoot whenever I can be, but also I put on shoes to do my activities when out in town. Anyway, cheers to all you barefooters out there! =)
