imagine in the future there are only 2 possible outcomes

    a) to be controlled by rich bankers who control the world via the money system

    b) to end it quickily with a nuclear war to end all mankind

    what do you choose?

if the nuclear war definitely ended all mankind, I'd choose that - time to give the ants their turn (even though they actually have been in charge for millenia but we never noticed, and they never noticed us)

nuclear war without ending all of mankind would be more preferable - i won't even consider option a

i don't choose either because a will colapse of its own weight, eventually.
b isn't going to happen on that scale, though a few smaller ones might.

what will happen IS a KIND of planetary oligarchy, but incorporating certain principles in many ways more 'democratic' then those now known, or at least now familiar.

how we get there from here is uncertain in its finer details.

but part of the model already exists, in a relatively recent (1844) system of belief by the name of Baha'i

Nuclear war. No war will annihilate all of mankind, and those who are left will be far freer than in a "world order" situation. Even if I were to die, I'd wish those remaining well. :)

why assume a "world order" can't be service state anonymous?
seems to me, the inevitability of a planetary level of political and social organization is being made something of a strawcrow out of.
i believe a whole earth governance in some form is going to come about whether we like it or not. what we have now, is likely to be the only chance we're going to get ahead of time, to choose what form we'd like it to take.
and i don't think universal attempts at mutual nuclear suicide are going to prevent or change that. not unless they wipe the human species from the face of the planet, which seems unlikely without taking down the whole web of life with us.

the real effects of global climate change we are actually facing will have much the same effect and be far more likely, if also somewhat slower and possibly more painful.

the above suggestion is certainly attractive. i'm just extremely dubious as to any kind of warfare as being the most likely way for it to occur.

A bit of both would be nice, Iran seems game for b)

this question looks for an easy way out that doesn't exist.
war is nonsense we no longer have time for.

solar power, narrow gauge railways, indigenous spirituality, an end to economic and ideological prejudice, and something in the water to lower human fertility across the board without bias or exception, are as close as it comes to a simple real answer.

the only other high probability, is that nature will do it for us, very painfully, with famine and disease, resulting from global climate change.

even a massive, collectively suicidal all out nuclear mutual self destruction, is a futile and improbable wet dream.

not that there isn't plenty of anger and desperation, but channeling that into actual conflict and bloodshed, will only benefit the same criminals that have created the situation in the first place. and continue to do so, not in some isolated vacuum of self generating greed, but motivated by the existing collective demands, being made together, by all of us together, and up to all of us together, to stop making.

Controlled in what way? What freedoms that I have now would I not have under the world order?
