Alright i have just gotten so sick and tired of all the toothpaste i have used in my life, until about a week ago, i thought that i was forced to use this chemical crap. So i learned from a very smart mexican lady that baking soda works as toothpaste. My problem has been recessive gums (gingivitus) and i learned that baking soda not only works for that but totally whitens your teeth.
I have been using baking soda every day since, and my teeth are whiter than ever, and my recession is slowly starting to get better. I plan to never use toothpaste again hopefully, i hate fluoride that much. Also not sure about the sorbital, I'm gonnah search to see what that shit did to me.
So yeah i totally reccomend this.

baking soda is great! i used to dip my toothbrush w/regular toothpaste on it into a box of baking soda whenever i brushed...now i just use baking soda toothpaste - great invention, what took them so long? lol

you can also buy all natural toothpaste from the health food store, it's some pretty good stuff - i like the one that tastes like anise :)

Yeah np. I just hope the suff you use isn't sensodyne. That stuff has extreme amounts of fluoride in it. I used that sometimes for my teeth it works for cavities but i made sure to only use it once every few days.
And psycadelic godess, yeah glad you knew about it, i would probably try the all natural toothpaste but i think it has sugar in it to make it taste good and thats bad for your teeth.

Yeah tastes like salt but i'm so used to it by now. I have a big bag of it and just dip my toothbrush in it and get it a little bit wet. Its kinda hard to get wet cause it washes away easily.
Def zepplin that stuff looks great.

Ok i need to admit something. I gave in to the regular toothpaste again last night and tonight. My gingivitus is out of control again, and the baking soda wasn't doing as good as a job as triclosan apparantly does. I really hate giving into the shit, but you gottah do what you gottah do. Hopefully i can find a toothpaste with triclosan in it but no flouride. That would be great. If i can't find that, then it is almost a hard decision between having no teeth or having flouride toxins.

Baking soda isn't really all that great for your teeth everyday. It's too harsh on the tooth enamel. I think it's okay to use like once or twice a week safely.

I use the Toms of Maine Whitening, but I used the Kiss MY Face stuff for a while. I can't use fluoride toothpaste anymore. It makes me sick... srsly. It sounds nuts, but I've been off of it for so long I think I've become intolerant to it.
I also use one made from essential oils that I get from this company my mom orders essential oil stuff from. I think it's called Young Living. They make a mouthwash too. Tastes like shit, but it works.

Oh, that's so cool. I also hear that baking soda could also be used as a utensil cleanser. I don't know if that really worked because I haven't tried it.

Tom's of Maine is the only toothpaste I buy. Used to be hard to get in my area but I find it in most grocery stores now. No more special trips across town to the health food store!
