Hi, I was just reading a couple of nudist websites and I saw this:
    How come this rule applies?

Well i posted this on another and got a response that men are driven by their sexuality. And only men can rape.

That's ridiculous so if i went to a nudist colony single i wouldnt be allowed? There are some decent moral people out there :mad:

That's bullshit. And I beg to differ with that response. Not all men are "driven" by sexuality, and both genders can rape - it's just harder for women than men.

I understand why you're frustrated by this, man. I think it's really stupid too, trust me.

But you have to also take into consideration how some really conservative people view nudism as well. They have a tendency to consider it as being offensive/obscene simply because it involves nudity. You know how some people are really sensitive about this. And many nudists have gotten some serious shit/pressure from those people(and/or government) in the past and it was so stressful that they have to do whatever it takes to keep their image as pleasant and non-sexual as possible now, so to speak.

And they also base all this on statistics, too, and the result is that unaccompanied men are potential threats. Of course, you and I both know that, if we ever went to a nudist resort, we would be completely safe. OK, in my case I may develop an erection, but whatever, I can "cover it up". But really, those people associate unaccompanied men with all kinds of bad things, and what it all comes down to is that they just want to play safe. But hey, if you think about it that way, it kinda gets a bit more understandable, don't you think?

At any rate, I personally don't dig it at all, but at the same time it's kind of like the age limit on online forums in a way. They have to do something to cover their own asses, or potential hell may break loose. Talk about "grrr...!", lol.

Umm, also it may just be to keep a good ratio. If nudist colonies consisted of 75% single (possibly creepy) men. it would not be nearly as tempting to join as it would be if it was a solid 50/50

You can't figure this out on your own, eh?

If you've ever come across the behaviour of some men in a nude environment that is mixed with no restrictions on who visits, you'd understand why many venues insist on 50/50 or couples only.
