pretty much it. several reasons for why we do it. might be for health might be to gain some sort of connection to the earth, or simply just because we dont like shoes much. Dean
There's nothing else to it - barefoot means wearing no shoes, socks, or other coverings on the feet. There's a lot to discuss about it, though, since society can be largely uncomfortable with seeing us go barefoot. A lot of it is getting over the nervous feeling that we got when we were thinking about going barefoot but we were afraid to because of reactions, misconceptions, etc. Several of us have developed into going barefoot more of the time because we discuss it on this forum and others like this.
The act is not wearing shoes. Being barefoot is the experience. Not everyone is into it, but if you are, it's a very refreshing and invigorating. I've never grown tired of the feeling of fresh air on my feet, the lightness of my step, the sensations of different surfaces. It's very liberating. Unfortunately, in somes parts of society it's not welcomed or tolerated. Much of this forum deals with people's experiences in public places, around friends and family, reactions, sensations, etc.
Ok... i don't wanna sound rude.... but i've walked home barefoot... I always walk round the house barefoot.... with friends or family. I dont see the big deal or where society won't tollerate it?
And that's what I dont understand the big deal, I do it all the time and have no problem... it's part of the norm.... I don't see societies 'hatred' or no tollerence to it.
Yea, me neither. I think its a great thing and more people should do it. I proposed the idea to my mom saying that i wanted to go more places barefoot and she was like eeewww.... And totally against it.
what a question....there is also the part where you spend time on here complainin about gettin thrown out of stores
Yea, thats stupid. Like does it matter whats on your feet? What happened to dressing how you like? Skanks can go in stores with their titties and bums hanging out but you can't have shoes on?? Tssk tssk.
No offence but i dont think barefoot is that great, it's just part of the norm... that's why I enjoy nudism.... it's a bit different... and you feel much free-er(if that's a word)
Oddly, people don't get "thrown out of stores" very often. When it does happen, it's usually because of a low-rung employee's knee-jerk reaction/opinion and abuse of perceived power versus an actual policy.
generally every store around here (i live in a very small town) has a sign on the door that says no shirt, no shoes, no service. idk if that helps your question about why the public stores and other businesses dont like it. but also i can walk into a few stores barefoot and it be ignored for the simple fact that I've been going to that same store for 10+ years
