Trip Report: Red Frog Beach...Bomo Style

Last week I went to Red Frog beach located in one of the gorgeous islands of Bocas del Toro, Panama. I took two Hoffman 08's with me which of course were really Bomo Bullshitfly's according to many of you on the forums.

I ate the two Bomo/Hoffman's on the boat from Colon Island to Red Frog and that was a 30 minute ride. We docked and I had to walk into the jungle in order to get to the beach. Still no sign of the acid hitting me though. I got to the beach and I was surprised to see how crystal clear the water was...it was beautiful. A few minutes later, the acid starts to hit me..not too much though. I was still in full psychological control even though I felt like I wasn't acting very normal.

A few minutes later I tried listening to some music, "65 Days of Static" which of course always spins me off to where I usually like going on my acid trips. Clouds were moving a little, not too much. I had to search for the "effect" by looking up a little...that's where the clouds morphed. If I looked down again, the clouds didn't move much. That wasn't very intense.

I did get these little triangle lights flicker on and off, lots of them, like a grid...I always get that...but this time they were barely visible. I saw them clearly left and right during some of my previous trips and I went through complete ego loss. Not this time though

The poor visuals died out quickly and I changed the music to Cat Power, the Moon Pix album. That took me into a very deep and personal state of mind. I looked back at many of the mistakes my parents made during my early years. I understood how these mistakes effected me and how to solved them. It hurt finding out about these things, but now I can let go of some of this bullshit. By the way, I wasn't seeing anything very visual during these personal moments, not even the slightest breathing effect on objects, everything looked so normal. My last trip was exactly the same, also Bomo/Hoffman 08's, it was never visual, purely psychological. I fixed a lot of problems on that last trip too.

I didn't have my cellphone on me, so I couldn't keep track of time, I never do. One of the locals told me it was 4 PM, so it must have been eight hours since I took the hoffman's and I was well over my shitty peak hours. I just felt...."drugged"...not that nice natural feeling...not at all, it was something very sloppy...the "okay" part was over. Coming back was a little confusing, I was going through a rush of emotions, I just wanted to go back to the hotel and chill out.

Overall my two last trips were nothing like my other ones, I did learn a lot of important things about myself though. I just miss the visuals. Should I increase my dosage even IF I find something that isn't Bomo/Hoffman? I was thinking of increasing my dosage to three. I miss the ego loss and amazing light show.

Sorry it didn't go so well for you man, at least you got a nice trip to the beach in.

 

Sorry it wasn't as exciting as you expected but it's great that you learned a little bit about yourself and your history! I was in Bocas (Colon and Bastimentos) last spring and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been! I would do so much to trip on acid there, man, you're a lucky one to have such an incredible natural setting

 

Doors, definitely man, the beach was perfect. I really want to go back

Sunburst, I didn't realize we had such beautiful beaches until I got there, so you're right about being lucky. I heard Bocas was nicer a few years ago, when it was mostly a secret surfer site. I'm going back at some point though.

 

Dude, really nice pics! I felt so relaxed just looking at them. Man I need to get the hell over to somewhere like that. So peaceful and serene. Too much big city chaos for me. Sorry to hear about your visual-less trip but at least it did something to you. Just up your dosage to 4 or 5 next time if you can.

 

Glad you like the pictures! You should try coming down to Bocas and relaxing, I know how the city can feel after a couple of months. I'd like to trip snow though...we don't get any of that down here.

 

What do you mean trip snow?? I just took two sugar cubes yesterday and got my ass kicked, lol.

 

haha nice. When I mean trip snow, I'd like to try acid in a snowy environment. I've been doing the beach thing for two years already.

 

Oh ok that makes sense. I think I def like tripping better in the winter time than summer at least here in NY cuz I tend to get kinda sweaty. Tripping snow is def nice. I can't wait for the winter. But I def have to check out Bocas.

 

There is a huge thread about these blotters on shroomery ( http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/10651430/page/1 ) . They have been tested to be LSD and nothing else. They just have a weird taste

 

The summer is so lively and active and moving whereas the winter is more heavenly brilliance/serenity.

It's almost like Mountain Jam vs. Dark Star if you dig. It's like I could see why someone would like one over the other but I love it all too much to pick favorites.

I used to live in New York, but I was too young to even know what acid was (unfortunately haha). I might go up to Canada and try snow over there. Hope it's easy to get blotters up there.

 

Ya I was reading through that thread earlier and I really wouldn't take what they say as conclusive evidence for multiple reasons:
1)We have no way of proving all the hoffmans are from the same guy
2)The one who "did" the test may not actually have (there's no way to know for sure) or may actually be a distributor of Hoffman 08's
3)I wouldn't just up and trust a bunch of people on the Internet about this especially a bunch of shroomery guys a lot of them just straight act like children in the first place (I used to post there but have since forgotten my account name) I personally was tired with all the BS that gets thrown around there

And honestly do you think it was CID or not? Your own personal intuition is what I would base my judgement on if I were you.

ive had the hoffmen 08 definatly not acid but they are kinda fun if you want some visuals but noting more an you dont mind the horrid taste thats like putting shampoo in your mouth an the horriable comedown

 

an when i say visuals i mean just colors thats it nothing amazing maby a pattern if you stare super hard an concentrate it sucks

 

I know what you mean about the staring. I had to really focus on the little flickering light effects during my trip. Nothing really happened "just because".
