I'm looking for a good book on psychedelic mushrooms. Do you guy's know of any?
Also, I'm looking for a book dealing with the psilocybin experience and some history of its usage in humanity etc.

that's a really good book, so entertaining! it goes way in depth and talks about all the different modern and old world cultures that the mushroom influenced.i found the part about the people in 18th century England accidentally ingesting liberty caps hilarious.

Mushroom Wisdom by Martin W. Ball is also a good one. Its a very good guide on approaching mushrooms and entheogens with spiritual intent.

I can't remember the exact details, but:

Back in old England when people would pick mushrooms to eat for dinner and such, due to poverty issues, some people ended up picking psilocybin mushrooms. Since picking mushrooms around this time had only just started, there weren't too many guides out for which mushrooms you could eat and which you couldn't.

So this one man/woman, whichever, went out and picked mushrooms for the day. Came back and all was normal, and the family ate their mushroom dinner. Then they claimed that they were starting to feel a little strange, so they called a doctor. He came and said that he couldn't find anything wrong with them, while in the meantime, they were tripping face, and acting "delirious". Eventually they stopped "feeling weird" and the doctor left.

At least I think that's the way it goes.. it was a while since I read the book :cheers2:
