sorry, for getting offtopic..... IM sick of listening to these pretentious guitar players who think they know everything about music, and try to install their biased views on you... all I know is what I like, and I could care less if its easy to play. all that matters to me is soul and emotion. I could care less about technical crap.

"Until reaching the impossible". lol Exactly. And, exactly as I'd predicted, Frankie worked him up with his classic facetious style. It's not like Steve was having any trouble with the elementary stylings of Frank Zappa like you were implying. And, by the way, your site must have a really bad columnist. Vai was in Sasha Solai in 1974, and in another couple of obscure Fusion Jazz bands long before he was in Zappa's band.

Rat, I'm a great guy, I wasn't screaming. How can you tell if someone is screaming over the internet, anyway? STEVE VAI DOESN'T SUCK, YOU TOTALLY SUCK, LOSER! I guess that's the closest you could get to connotation, right? And, ofcourse, I'm not being serious with that last one.

MC, you notice, I don't jump on you until you and Fallen start calling Vai "homoerotic". You can have your opinion, but when you cross the line, you should expect someone to school you.

Why? you do it to other people.

And what the fuck?? I don't play above 200bpm just cause you dont??

There is a difference between hearing and playing. You play in flames?? thats not fast nor at all difficult.

How about you keep your fucking "versing" to yourself and I'll keep mine. Cause I dont fucking appreciate cunts like you telling me that the music I play, love and have dedicated my life to is "not a complicated style"

P.S. Notice i never said anything about playing "sweep a minor arpeggiated break down within some string-skipping etude-style changes" at 200bpm.

    P.P.S. DIE

The guitar is a phallic symbol, when 4 guys start playing with each others phallic symbols it is a bit homo-erotic.

    :p :p :p :p

Or maybe it's a collaboration of genius. Yes, 2 violinists and 2 cellists doing arrangments of Paganini's 16th Caprice, or the Funeral March is a collaboration of genius, but 4 guitarists getting together, no, according to Mr.Fallen's dictionary, that's an orgy. Please.

Actually the whole homo-erotic bit is just a joke I have with my friends.

lol, I love you too man. No, in person I'm not usually that way, and usually even on the internet I'm not, but there are times when I flip out when I read something said and I go off on this musical tangent.

I have to adjust my previous opinion after hearing the Great southern trendkill album. Intense stuff. They certainly made a huge leap upwards in my imaginary rate-all-bands-from-extremely-sucky-to-pure-genius list.
