I'd be willing to try yoga. It seems to work wonders for lots of people.

It really seems that it might help. I know that the heart and the currents in your body are directly connected. It makes sense. In your case, it makes plenty of sense.

I went through the same thing, pains in my chest causing panic attacks which manifested itself into a HUGE amount of anxiety for about 7 months due to a concussion, don't touch the pills honestly just ride it out Im still not as happy, unanxious as I was but it DOES get better. don't smoke weed for awhile (even though I believe you aren't right now) and shit should clear up.

Yeah, first time I got it I was convinced I was having a heart attack...scary stuff

Whatever mental negativity you get from it is all psychological, well if its the same thing, which it sounds like it is. Just ride them out and its all good again :)

That's why I added the part you conveniently left out. :p

Seriously though, if you don't have shitty mood swings and hate your life at some point while your age ends with "teen," you're not doing it right.

Hopefully I only have a couple days of that shit left.

I'm not commenting on the severity or legitimacy of your pain. Trust me man, I can empathize. I'm just not sure it warrants treatment--ESPECIALLY drugs.

God man that made my fuckin hairs stand up. I was forced to stay in a "mental rehabilitation clinic" for some bullshit reasons when I was around your age for about 2 weeks. By the end of the first week when it seemed I'd be in their forever. My mom brought my guitar in when she found out they allowed them. I honestly wouldn't have been able to make it through that place without it. I'd get so nervous about not being able to ever leave and get back to my life that my heart would just race. But as soon as I'd pick up that guitar it'd be like I was back to normal. In short, I fucking love the guitar. :)

Sorry to hear about your troubles, man. That really sucks. Acid could certainly have something to do with it. You're pretty young (not trying to rag on you, I did acid when I was 15) to be doin acid. It's clearly made you realize some shit in life and those things are clearly floating around in the back of your mind causing your 'episodes'. Just try not to think about it, don't do anymore drugs (except weed if you think you'll be alright with it), and try to make some positive lifestyle choices. (ie exercise, eating better, etc.) I wish I could type more, but I gotta bounce. Don't worry though, you're young, you'll pull through it. After all, you're a stoner. We can do anything, man!

You owe your mom for bringing the guitar,,

    That was a nice gesture.

One of the worst things about being a teenager is that your parents don't make it easy for you to come clean, communicate, be honest. They lay down a lot of judgmental shit, threats of exposure, etc., because they "care" about you and your future. It makes it all the more difficult when you want to talk to someone about it. You're always looking over your shoulder in case they might find out,,

Otherwise, if they weren't that way, inspecting, interrogating, assigning blame, always ready to discover "the worst" about you, and "do something about it", etc.. teens could more easily get help and open up about some of the issues.

But I have to be thankful. My parents kicked me out at 18 when I was just out of high school, for "living irresponsibly", hanging out with hippies from San Francisco, and then, about a month later, when I was close to getting in trouble with the law for having a minor runaway girl with me in my car, my dad came to my rescue with a lawyer friend of his. The girl got screwed, sent to an "institution", but I got off with a trip to the psychologist. He saw me once, asked me a few questions, said there was nothing wrong with me, told my parents that I was "sensitive", and that was that. For being supportive of me in that situation, I enrolled in college the following fall semester.

If only kids could just live in an atmosphere of honesty, without fear of retaliation or incarceration,,,

It's times like this were I'm grateful that my dad was just like me when he was younger.... Well technically I was just like him.

He's dead against me going on pills because he thinks it's a bunch of nonsense that will do more harm than good.

    fuck it's happening right now.

my stomach started hurting and for some reason I keep thinking its an ulcer (it cant fucking be) so i looked it up on the internet and i keep thinking i have the symptoms. I'm not throwing up, or spitting up blood, or shitting with blood in, but I keep fucking thinking I have one.

this is fuckin pissin' me off because my stomach hurts and i'm just tryin to calm myself down... this better not actually be an ulcer...

nah it can't be. fuck this shit, my minds trippin me out. the heart pains are gone and i feel stupid for thinking i ever had a heart problem... but now i think i'm not sure if i just think i have an ulcer (like i thought i had a heart problem) or if I really do..

I hope you guys never experience this... i'm not a person that gets scared a lot but I am now.. fuckin stomach....

Good call on taking a break from drugs man... make it a good long break. There has been some excellent advice already given and I can't really improve on it. Your biggest asset right now is yourself. You've shown the good sense to put a stop to things- you're going to be better than alright- in the future you may well look on this as a good thing to have happened now. There is no shame in asking for help- there IS in needing information help and not seeking it. True wisdom isn't measured in how much you know- but being able to comprehend how much you do not know.

I have no idea whether this means anything, but since I was little, I used to take "Tums" once in a while, for acid reflux (google it). It began to get worse in college, then, later on, so bad that I had to be taking two or more extra-strength tums at night to fight the burning. Then I'd wake up with this chalky taste in my mouth. So, eventually I went to the doctor, who prescribed Tagmet to lower my acid production. It worked for a while, but I enventually switched to 150 mg Ranitidine (Zantac) from Target. I take one or two, one or two times a day. It works for me, to combat my tendency to have acid reflux. Acid reflux can be so bad that it mimics a heart attack.

One night, I had eaten a corn dog before bed, and later on awoke with this burning, so bad I couldn't hardly breathe. I thought I was having a heart attack, and drove myself to the ER. They took a look at things, gave me some liquid Maalox (antacid relief), and I was feeling better within minutes.

Now, I better not be caught without my Ranitidine, or I'm dead meat.

Things that bring on acid reflux are stress, caffeine, chocolate, and a whole lot of other stuff. It happens basically because the valve that is supposed to keep stomach acid from coming back up your esophagus isn't doing its job like it is supposed to do. It can weaken in time, and things like what I mentioned just make the situation worse. I drink coffee, eat some chocolate, and am stressed out a lot, so I'm prone to having acid reflux frequently, so I always have to have some Ranitidine on hand, just in case. In a pinch, I could also swallow a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water, but that's gross, and gets old, and causes ridiculous burping. Some foods also cause the acidity situation to lessen. Things like tomato sauce, spaghetti, pizza and beer or alcohol can also make it worse.

Anyway, I just remembered this. I don't know if it applies to you, but think about it. When acid reflux hits your esophagus it can feel like a heart attack, and can do permanent damage to your esophagus, even destroying the nerves, so that you can't tell it's happening. Eventually you have what is called "esophagitis", which can lead to cancer of the esophagus.

Just something else to consider, since you seem to be under a lot of stress, and stress increases the production of stomach acid, and maybe you've got this condition.
