Well, I go over to the little control panel on the wall at which I set the temperature and take a look at what it's currently at...
They have them in the office where I work but nobody would bother buying such a thing for their house. If it's cold put on the central heating for a while or light the fire, if it's warm open a few windows. If anyone got climate control people would actually laugh and say how American, it's one of these things we would associate with Americans and their need to have absolutely every mod con going or they would be so uncomfortable.

No choice, it's always bloody hot, probebly around the 28-32 c inside... (convert it into F yourself, bloody American.)
We don't keep it at a certain temp. when it gets to cold, we put the heat on till it gets warm enough, I guess though anywhere between 68-72 is probably normal. Wear a coat when inside though, helps keep down fuel costs.
