I really really loved College Dropout and Late Registration.
Graduation was okay, but overplayed and it didn't have the same "Kanye" feel like his other two.

Since his mom died he had stopped writing/producing. He started back up like in May and I'm thinkin he's gonna release some bomb ass shit. Some real heart-felt and deep tracks.

I feel bad for saying it, but hopefully his mom's death put him back on the track of the REAL hiphop he started with.

    RIP Donda West

Lots of times emotional shit brings new lights on in the mind of a artist..
I know it does for me, I was recently in a rough relationship, with much love and shit I and the other took for granted... And seriously no joke.. Ive been playing better on the guitar pulling up new songs to do, getting away from older songs that have been some cause of isolation and anger,frustration...
changing the whole attitude of the band and ready more to pull away from them and do something solo..
So it might of helped him... but I really dont know him or his music..

lol i just found this thread...and damn was i wrong about kanye. i respect him and all as an artist, cause he still is, but this shit isn't like his old stuff in the least bit, heartfelt but bad voice mods...

he's bomb on tracks but he used to be pretty good lyrically, too

as a listener it is shit, but for him it is necessary. after all he is an artist, he can do what he wishes.

even our favorite musicians can bring out some of the worst shit you've ever heard - that does not make them any less great - it is whether they consistently bring shit or not...

Kanye Omari West is an American rapper, record producer, author, and singer. He released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004, his second album Late Registration in 2005, his third album Graduation in 2007, and his fourth album 808s & Heartbreak in 2008. His first three albums (and his fourth to a lesser extent) have received numerous awards and critical acclaim. All have been very commercially successful, with 808s & Heartbreak becoming his third consecutive #1 album in the U.S. upon release. West also runs his own record label GOOD Music.West's mascot and trademark is "Dropout Bear," a teddy bear which has appeared on the covers of three of his four albums as well as various single covers and music videos.

Love listening to his music. A very good singer and a hip-hop artist!
