Been on this board for years, but never seen any love for these guys. I mean Jimmy Herring, O'tiel Burbridge, Jeff Sipe...tha friggin Colonel Bruce Hampton!...Not to mention Bobby Lee Rodgers(not from tha unit, but still!)...Lets shoot these guys some love...not only for giving us southern boys sump'n to talk about, but for slingin that southern jazz-gospel-fusion-shred across the fests (in one way, shape, or form) for the past 20 years. These guys are absolutely the penultimate unsung heroes of the "Jam Scene" or whatever......c'mon
Jimmy Fuckin Herring. I was just listening to a 1998 Panic show where these guys sat in with them. Delightful
loved ARU...there was a period in the early 90s where they came to my town at least once every 4-6 weeks....i always left their shows feeling that their musical communication was way ahead of the other touring jam bands at the time btw, some really good aru dvds come around now and again at www.tradersden.org
