i just spent $700 on a new laptop from staples and, alas, when i arrived home to take it from its box the box was empty aside from the battery and some info pamphlets. WTF??...the thing thats got me fuming is that they may very well possibly try and say that it is my problem, and that i coud have stolen it or some such shit...i have the receipt, will i be able to get refund/computer?? this matter needs to be resolved... i tired phoning staples when i opened the box, but it was after business hours and they were closed by then, im talking with the manager tomorrow. needless to say, i am fucking pissed.
Exactly. i thought it was a little light, but because they had advertised it as saying it was thinner/lighter than the mac book air...
Yeah, the lack of weight is pretty suspect. Still though, it's not your fault. You must have been very impressed with the lightness of the thing
Okay, so thankfully staples returned my call and they will have the computer ready to go in a few days *pheww*. apparently there was a mix-up in the store room and their system said they only had two in stock, (technically speaking, one of them was apparently faulty). they had that one removed from it's box and instead of taking the one next to it they took the empty one by mistake...thankfully it all worked out.
Awesome. I know this happens: I used to take phone calls about iphones and would do technical support. However, some boxes would be empty, so the customer would call pissed off. But glad that worked out for you
