Weeeel, now since my hair's getting more matted up (And losing length as told), it's seemingly shrinking in width. I don't want thin little things, which is why I wanted larger sections of hair. I hate how it looks now... all short, has loops and are thin. Will they get fatter in time? The loops & curly locks/dreads I don't mind much about, but there's ALOT of loops in them, and they're all curly and wavy. Will it do any harm if I use my flat iron on them a bit, or will it straighten on its own?
There's no way of knowing man. Thin ones will easily join with other ones and make fat dreads unless you stop them from doing so.
fail, I want a dollar for every thread asking questions that don't need asking, I'll never have to work again.
LOL LOL LOL. Rob you slay me. Your dreadlocks aren't even a month old yet you go on about how you can "feel" them maturing already. YES they will shrink. YES they will look shit. YES they will get fatter in time but this will be over a YEAR if not MORE with twists not 26 DAYS!!! WAIT. Just WAIT. EVENTUALLY. EVENTUALLY you will have dreadlocks.
Alright this is really why I don't like posting here anymore. It's a simple thread, asking a simple question folks. It's not being impatient, it's not being an ignorant little kid. I know it takes time. I know they will look like shit. I know they shrink. I know when my hair's getting matted up, I don't see you coming here and checking my hair out. People's hair knots up at different rates. Thank some of you for answering a simple question that I asked about the width expanding with time, because I did not know. I didn't know I couldn't post on a FORUM, to ask a question and comment on something slightly related in the process. Excuse the fuck out of me. @HDH - Nobody said Maturing, I said matting up.
It's a question that has been answered so many times that it's not even funny. Your hair hasn't locked, matured, or even had any real progress yet. It's just there. For god sakes you twisted your hair and now you think your seeing progress... I'm not trying to be rude... But I don't even know what to say anymore In 3 months make a thread asking this question.
He might be on to something. Maybe not with an iron cause thet's really dangerous bout if he straightened them with hair straighteners could that work? I know frizzy hair dreads easier but i suppose you'd have to do alot of straightening to damage the hair. There's salons that do some shit with the hair, either chemical or heat it and that makes it frizzy so it knots up quicker.
I don't blame you. I know I'm older than almost everyone here, but geez....seems like there tends to be an unusual amount of pretty childish hostility on this forum. Unfortunate. I don't know what it's about. Personally, I like what I learned in 3rd grade: There are NO stupid questions.
