I was just curious as to whether anyone else has had an unusual experience with a domestic animal? I have had numerous experiences with my cat and it is as if she knows i'm on the mushrooms. Maybe they can tell you on a different wavelength? But if have ever had a similar experience while on mushroom please let me know.
ive had crazy lucy expereinces with my dog, i just love her like 100 times more but i wll be around her tomorrow while on fungus, so hopefully i will have more for you come sunday perhaps your cat did know, perhaps you felt she knew cuz of the drug...though psychedelics are crazy, and everything is possible
I have always noticed that dogs and cats act really weird when Im tripping. They seem scared of me while tripping and these are pets I know and love = pet PIHKAL.
Yeah that's how i see it normally. I was only wondering if anyone else has expericened anything similar.
My dog knows when I am experiencing higher states of consciousness, and for all you psychonauts out there, these states are not automatically achieved upon the consumption of X amount of substance . He becomes joyous to the point of running around the house back and forth while barking at the top of his lungs (which is pretty out of character for him, he is an old boxer, usually droopy and depressed, just like his Pisces owner ). My understanding of it is that after 8 years, he is just so in tune with me that when I am residing in a higher energetic state, this energy is reflected in him and he doesn't know how to express it.
yeah my pets do that too, at first (i think its because they notice the change in your behaviour and are wondering whats up) but then they warm up and get wayyy wayy nicer than usual
the first time i tripped shrooms i was with my roommate in a patch of trees. we were sitting up against two trees facing each other. there were two squirrels playing/chasing a few trees away. by the time an hour or so had passed they had worked their way to playing and rolling around in the space right between where we were sitting. we all kinda pretended that nothing else was there, it was peaceful.
HA HA HA ! Kudos for the obscure Marty Feldman/Young Frankenstien reference. That is one of my favorite scenes that and "Oh What big knockers!" "Thankyou Dr."
I've only tripped once around an animal, and oddly enough it was a 2C-E trip. It was my friend's dog 'Riot.' I felt really connected with her, she just seemed like she was guiding us through the woods, it was a pretty cool time and I have always loved that dog ever since. I guess I was also around animals when I was tripping on mushrooms recently. Although I never in came in contact with them. I was camping, and this dog at another campsite was leashed to a tree and he sounded so sad I just wanted to go play with him! But other than dogs, I've also had a cool thing happen with a spider. He was just chillin in my tent, and I'm usually very scared of spiders, but he just seemed like he wasn't comfortable in the tent, so I picked him up and let him outside. Now I've kind of lost my fear of spiders, well at least smaller ones haha!
Thats class, i also dont like spiders, and i go camping nearly every week also fishing at the same time thats why i go so often, and i have to get them out my tent all the time .. i realy would like to be able to cope with them better but for some reason i find big spiders disgusting, and i often feel slightly sick when i see one. Deep routed childhood fear probably picked up from my mother, as she has allways been terrified of them aswell. And with referance to animals changing there behaviour when your tripping .. i thought a lot about this but i found that with my 2 siamese cats that i often thought they were upset in a way and behaving grumpy as such when i was tripping around them, but its probably just the way theire face looks, and i suppose they look the same when not tripping, but just notice it more when you are. Also my best mate used to say to me he could telepathically communicate with another friends dog when we were off our heads on md, he said ill prove it so i sat next to him, and my mate said right ill ask the dog to do this and that etc, first he told it to leave the room, and it settled in another room, then he said to me right ill call it back in now, he just sat there and looked pretty vacant and next thing in trots the dog to see us for a stroke. He used to do similar things at every party at that house with the dog, maybe even just tell it to move over on the sofa cause it was taking up half of it getting comfy, but never spoke words out loud to it, he didnt even look at the dog either when he said he was talking to it.
Actually when i think back to it properly the siamese cats just seem like this when coming up on shrooms / lsd, but once id taken off properly they seemed to get quite inquisitive and spent a bit more time around us, which is unusual as they realy dont like smoke at all, from joints, and cigarettes .. The blue eyes that siamese cats have also look beutifull aswell, lovely looking creatures in general ..
I own a yellow lab and she is extremly big and fat. The only time i was tripping face around her was when i took and eighth of muchrooms. It started out find with me just admiring her and petting her. She instantly became a polar bear. I thought it was the coolest thing ever to be chilling with a polar bear that i could pet. Amazing. Unfortunately it didnt last like that. She fell asleep later and because she is an old dog, like 11, she has night terrors and often looks like she's having a seizure. This on a lot of mushrooms just freaked me out and i was worried she would die. Once again i was reminded of how amazing and beautiful everything was, but also how fragile it is at the same time
Yeh its hard to watch or observe anything that looks as if its in difficulty when your tripping, for me anyway ..
