As much as i think many immigrants love america as much as any american, i dont like the idea of tinkering with the constitution.

 

i do like the idea of immigrants being able to run for president. i don't really see why not. as long as they're citizens, and their family are citizens, i don't see a conflict of interest. besides, they'd still have to be elected.

All would be. The difference, we were born in the United States. The child of an immigrant(born in the US) is eligible to run for president.

 

Hopefully one of the true natives will get there one day too then

The people who were there prior to 1492 of course, the one's we nicked all that land off of

About 12000 years ago, I guess they still did in a way, although I think they may have walked.

I reckon that pretty much makes them indigenous

I honestly wouldn't mind if someone who wasn't born here but loved the country enough to want the best for it was allowed to be president.....

An Immigrant being able to become president is not a bad thing, BUT, arnold being able to run for president IS.

Yeah our country would be a big joke if Arnold became president. My mom also said something about how if they change this Amendment that Bush would be able to run again for President.

 

err i dont see how, unless they removed the term limit..

 

I hope they don't do that....
