conservative labour are both controlled by the same big banks so pah who cares and yes likely they will be .

its like the 2 sides of a triangle a two party system people has the illusion of choice while the system is still easy to be controlled by big money

I feel it's got to the point now that the main differences between the major political parties are in their names... otherwise they seem to be pretty interchangable.

We seem to have allowed a new kind of ruling class to evolve.

No, the media are deserting a sinking ship. In general, tabloids, keen to maintain the idea that they have significant political influence, will back the winning team. There are exceptions, when Labour has been too far to the left of a paper's editorial line. But take a look at The Sun's ridiculous stunt pouring red smoke out of their chimney to declare its support for Labour when they were strong. The media aren't ushering in a Conservative government. Barring a catestrophic scandal or hell becoming a hell of a lot colder, a Conservative government is inevitable. The media know this, and the papers with less journalistic integrity are clamouring for a piece of the action.

I don't think it is the media that is ushering in a Conservative government, it is just the actions/policies of the Labour government that is opening the door for the Conservatives rising to power again.

There is always ways of spinning a positive into a negative, and vice versa, as I am sure you know.

I guess I'm really talking about the populist newspapers, who bend and twist their political leanings,...such as The Sun.
Who, to nab a nice line: are "keen to maintain the idea that they have significant political influence".
The other newspapers, such as The Mail and the Telegraph, are staunch conservatively orientated, and they won't ever change.
But, imo, they can just ramp up their support and start digging the knife into Labour, fairly or unfairly.

To be vulgar (and why not) I see a massive Conservative reach around at the moment.
