They abduct them from the section between the A3 in Surrey and the M1 near Watford, Hertfordshire during traffic jams.
Not sure where they find them. Some of the people you just want to slap. That being said though, I quite like it. I find the presenter to be hilarious, especially as he takes the piss out of the contestants on the show.
just watched today's 5 episode dinathon yes the presenter is very funny, had some great lines they were all from Doncaster today, so I don't think you can count them as toffs Danny was the class act with his magic tricks and serenading I also loved Catherine's reaction when she pissed herself laughing at Ross' lion pelt rug hehe
I love a bit of Come Dine I saw the one with the dead lion thing on the floor JT! For once they weren't all that toffy being in Doncaster, but didn't that Ross live in a kind of mansion or something? There were some classic lines from toffy nosed red faced sweaty loving themselves but really rather dim types today "You have to show vegetarians that you are better than them...but you eat meat" "It should have had more stock to make it a soup and less things that you would just put in a soup" And that unbearable man that wouldn't shut up about animal fat in his bloody pastry! They were all as bad as eachother
Because it's funny and entertaining, why do you think? Deal or No Deal on the other hand is a monotonous overhyped pile of wank. Sorry Noel (I realise he may well strike me down for this. It is a chance I am willing to take. I accept your rule over my destiny, Noel)
I recently watched a "celebrity" version. The voice-over guys comments were rude and obnoxious. They were not really valid, and I could tell he was playing on the viewers general prejudices of the particular "celebrities"...not based on anything they were saying or doing. It turned me off him instantly. It made me think his entire comments are rude and obnoxious. I know don't watch it anymore.
The diners are the ones who are generally rude and obnoxious and up themselves. Infact not generally, there is always at least one. You can tell they are especially chosen to try and cause trouble-clashing personalities and overinflated egos. The voiceover guy is the voice of reason. That's the point of it. I think he's really funny I'm not so keen on the celebrity episodes though
I tell a lie, I watched it today. Well, a little bit of it. There was some man on it who was mocking some other man for not reading a book. Now he WAS rude and obnoxious. I wanted to bash his skull in with my bare hands. I have a sneaky feeling you may say the same thing he did. It's perhaps how some people speak, and they just don't realise how they come across. It, however, might be just me. I'm not calling you rude and obnoxious, btw, I'm just saying. You are right, there IS atleast one...but gather together 4-5 random people there will always be one...that's just life. I'm sure there is atleast one in this thread. I especially hate the women who seem to hate men, and would have their babies swinging on their hips if they could. Also the overly liberal Guardian reader stereotypes. God, they make me want to scream. I DO like the know-it-alls who get it monstrously wrong, though. I agree, that is supposed to be his role. But sometimes he ruins it by being unfair. Perhaps he thinks he can get away with "abusing" celebrities...but it just made me think how slightly scripted his other comments might be, and how fair the comments actually are. I agree the producers do put certain people in for the way they are. It is supposed to attract viewers like all shows, I guess. The show is obviously edited, and the way the people are perceived is the way the show wants them to be perceived. Obviously sometimes a right royal jackass can't be edited in or out, though. Generally me neither. But sometimes a celeb changes the way I perceive them...that's a nice treat.
