I kind of realized something was off when I initially saw that the Church required it's members to home school AND with an approved curriculum. I've been strongly considering home schooling my children, but thankfully for me, the state of Indiana makes it easy. They do not interfere as long as attendance records are kept and reported, and the children are taught, "in a manner consistent with that of public school." Meaning facing forward, in a chair, hearing lecture for 8 hours a day with minimal 15 minute breaks and a lunch. Curriculum is completely up to me.
That is such a sad way to homeschool, I was homeschooled, 5 grades above the standard reading level, and it never took more than an hour a day.
