i got dreadbedhead too so i guess they look a little nicer after a shower. didnt take nearly as long as i expected for them to actually look like dreads too
seems like a lot of progress for 9 months natural. I BC'ed so i wouldn't know, but most naturals on here seem to be taking a lot longer, congrats.
nope, just left em alone and washed em with regular shampoo for about 7 months, then started using dr bronners, but im amazed too at how well they sectioned out too, i love em!!
Im a skeptic, they look a lil backcombed, and too well sectioned for 9 months but hey like pypes said i backcombed and twist n ripped so yer
Ahoy ... Whatever you got going there, it's looking good ... genuine ... ... But I can't see how what you have got is possible after 9 months. For them to be that fat already, your hair would have had to have sectioned itself at least 9 months ago ... and to add to this, it takes ages for hair to section itself to start off with ... even with the strict washing method. OK, here is the part that is confusing, you said ‘natural’, but you also said ‘just left EM alone and washed EM with regular shampoo for about 7 months’ … it’s that’em’ part I’m not getting … and then to top it off, you said ‘regular shampoo’ Man, I’m not picking a fight, but none of any of this adds up … what washing method did you use for the 9 months? Anyway, still looking good though
haha yea right man. they look great, no reason to lie about how you got them. if you insist on them being natural post a timeline.
by "em" i meant them... washing method? uhhh i put shampoo in my haIR and washed?? every couple days. Why all the hating why would I lie about how I got my dreads? jealous? I dont have a timeline but if you really want you can look at my facebook and go thru my pictures. They aren;t that fat at all, a couple do look fat in the pics but the fattest one is prob as fat as a crayola marker. My hair needed constant brushing before i started as it tangled a lot, which is prob why they dreaded so fast? and natural/neglect isnt that the same thing? I just stopped combing my hair, dec. 5th to be exact and used suave for men shampoo until about 7 months then used diluted dr bronners, started washing every other day, then every 3 days, and so on and now i wash maybe once or twice a week. Any other questions mr dread police?
Ahoy ... nah, I think you and one or two peeps are getting the tone wrong … the questions and scepticism have nothing to do with jealousy, hatred or even policing … it’s out of absolute obsessive interest. If you look at some of the hectic discussions that occur within the wider ‘lock’ culture, just look at this forum … you’ll see that it could probably become an academic subject, most likely the arts. So it’s no wonder that peeps are going to ask questions when they see something completely out of the ordinary … like your locks, neglect method, 9 months, from scratch, using regular shampoo with de-tangling agents … either way, they do look good.
