I think thats a really open question, what is karma and what is honest. I 'think' karma to be the reaction to ones actions. Although I think that definition permits animosity, something that can actually be ignor-ance. and honest? I think it should be feeling, true feelings...but a feeling is true if it exists, its not something that will exist forever. My argument here would be that at our core, we are not all pure beings...we are more than the sum of our parts, I struggle to believe that our inner selves are made up of truths that we may or may not deny. Because, where does the denial come from? is that not a part of us too...just as true as any 'universal' truth. Just because it is wrong, doesn't make it not you...it certainly means it will not serve you to infinity...but then again im 26. Maybe we all travel the same path, maybe we're all the same traveler... there is no rushing it...theres no short cut, there is no day to seize...it is what it is. The life we lead is ours, if we all end up at infinity or what ever then what difference does it make if I run backwards 300 million years? infinity is still infinity away. Or is there a hump to get over? is there a hill and do we only have so much food stored before the winter comes. I really gotta stop thinking about that
seeing as i do, kharma as being a natural effect of reality, indipendent of what anyone does or does not believe, not dependent on some uber will to make it happen, or not having to be, i fail to see how that would inhibit honesty. now there is a tendency, when we've found something to believe in that seems to work for us, to try and make everything fit into what we think we know about its way of looking at things. and THAT certainly tends to twist and distort and get in the way of seeing, and dealing with things, as they are. but i don't see kharma itself as being in or any way part of that catigory. not my personal take on what, how, i see kharma as being.
There's definitely direct karma. In the form of psychosis, feelings of guilt you just can't escape and what not. People will try to escape using various means. It's definitely not something to dwell upon if you're going to be honest, though. Being in-tune with who you are doesn't require any aforethought. You have an in-born personality. I don't know if that makes one impure, injuring others inadvertently by his/her own nature. It's pretty much impossible to never injure anyone, just by existing. Maybe you can embrace struggle so completely that it's something you are and not something you're against. I do believe that these "minor" repressed issues reflect on a macrocosmic scale as well. Well, it's pretty obvious that people destroy themselves through their own selfishness and stupidity. But are so-called inanimate objects on the attack as well? That is an unknown, and I'm not too familiar with direct evidence. People don't generally write down instances where they've done something wrong and suddenly there is an avalanche, or they might not even be cognizant that they've done something wrong, before or after the avalanche, so to speak.
Hi lostminty, guys, Karma exists and to have a complete discussion about something in the world you do need to understand the karma, it means that what happens to you keeps existing through itself unless it is extinguished but it does not stop existing by it self and that's why people with big karma have so much difficulty escaping what happenened in themselves. So, what is Karma ? I found this article written by a man Tathagata who claims Supreme Enlightenment, and I believe it may be of some help to your understanding karma. Here's a small quote then a link to the article; There is a word "Karma", passed on from the past, but nowadays it is rare to find someone who knows correctly what Karma is. What do we call Karma and what is Karma ? Karma is something that exists in the source which moves oneself, lets have a look carefully how the Karma which is in the source, is made. The Karma is made by things that happened to you. Then how can things that happened to you make this Karma ? it is important to understand that. This means that something you did is saved in your consciousness. Now we have to look at nature in more detail. here's the link, to continue reading about karma - What is Karma ?
