so i have this hearing today for that whole mess with my roommate... im being charged for the bubbler but they also mentioned the scale and seeds/debris. My parents seem to think that they'll question me about the scale, and that me telling them I had it for personal use and I wasn't selling isnt believable. I dont even know if they'll bother asking me about the scale or what exactly I was doing with the weed (that they didnt find) or if they'll just tell me I have to pay $250 for the bubbler and let me go. anyone have any idea how these things work? or whether they will question me about the scale, and if they do, whether i can just tell them I have it for personal use/not for selling? i'm really nervous about this hearing, just cause i have no idea what it is or whats going to happen, so any advice would be good thanks
tell them you had it for personal use... actually i use my scale now to weight out portions of food.. but yea.. chances that they may even think it was used for that are highly unlikely.. but they probably will not ask about it because they will charge it as paraphernalia with the bubbler..
yeah if they do end up asking about it just explain it was for personal use and just hope they believe you lol not much else you could do about it...good luck
You will probably talk to the prosecutor ahead of time and they will settle for a simple fine. Worry-but don't be too worried-this is Philly-they will try to settle everything quickly and easily so it doesn't go before the judge.
yes this is a school hearing... how is that different? is it good different or bad different? and no i havent bitched out my old roommate... if i meet with my RD im going to tell her what a dumb **** she was though. my dad seems to think that if i tell them i had the scale for personal use that'll incriminate me. do you think they'll charge me separately for the scale and the bubbler? like its a $250 fine for paraphernalia so will that be $500 total or just 250?
Im not sure man, just be happy the bubbler itself only gave you a $250 fine. Around here it is $750 minimum for paraphinilia plus probation (MANDATORY)
its 750 for second offense here. oh and im on probation too, but whatever, i mean, aside from drinking/smoking off campus at parties and stuff im not risking anything else. no way would i think of bringing anything into the dorms after all this haha
yeah definately, The only reason im staying clean is because all of this get's expunged if I don't test positive, and I figure my tolerance will be absolutely zero which will be amazing when I get off. Good luck with what's goin on with you though!
