Nope, if you visit the website, this stuff is going on now, that was from a folder called "2008 trophies" I think...
What tosspots. But there's a "conservation" section. Wtf. Are they trying to make it like a "for every tree we take we plant another" deal? But with elephants...hmm
Seriously now this is just madness Why on Earth would anyone want to be responsble for killing an elephant...only to pose with your thumbs up infront of it and so you can tell your mates. Fucked up people
Because they like to hunt? But there are different kinds of hunters of course. Holiday-hunters who like to get a pic taken and don't care what kind of elephant they shoot or wild life conservation people who don't shoot healthy animals at all, etc.
The "conservation" people in question shoot many healthy elephants by the looks of it. Aslong as it is an adult male. And there's a lot of money in it There's no justification for these people (the company and the customers) shooting a healthy wild elephant just to take a picture of his body and call him a "trophy", and then having the front to go on and call themselves conservationists. Anyone even half sane can see that. It's unbelievable
I cant be sure that elephant in particular was healthy, but their hunting regulations state that healthy elephants can indeed be killed if they are adult and male. So it doesn't really matter, does it? It wouldn't really matter anyway-have they not heard of vets and medicine? I think we both know this is just absolutely bang out of order and there's no reasoning about it. They're simply complete jerks, killing elephants to try and make them feel like men, edging them ever closer to extinction. And I wont lie, it makes me cry that people do these things
Perhaps too many male elephants in the area? I'm not defending them by the way, just wondering. At least they don't shoot young and female elephants anymore (in general).
I highly doubt it. Too many human males with issues more like. I dont think there are "too many elephants" anywhere. But even if that was the case they could move them into a different area. We need every elephant we can save and there are many organisations that would help them with moving, I donate to one of them which hopefully is genuinely doing good work
