I never did like the Beatles much, but I did like Wings, especially with Denny Laine and Jimmy McCulloch. Back in 1975 I think it was, there was a full length concert on video called Rockshow. I am still trying to find a copy of that. Also, a triple live album called Wings Over America, I do have that one. My favorite song would be Medicine Jar.
I haven't heard that song before - can you hum a few bars? Actually, I'm not listening to The Beatles right now, I'm listening to some good ol' Grateful Dead (now playing: ''Samson And Delilah'' 04/18/78 Pittsburgh Civic Arena - Pittsburgh, PA) and it's sounding real good! :cheers2:
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a jerk. I was just hoping you'd give your thoughts on these great songs.
Thats ok.You made a good point.I will elaborate in the future. I got the idea from a Beatles forum ,which done the same thing. Most people there just posted a song and that was it.
Mr Kite, you know a lot about the Beatles. Maybe you can answer something for me ... what instrument is used for the instrumental break on "I'm Only Sleeping"? It sounds like some kind of horn, but it's no horn that I'm familiar with ...
Im almost 100% certain that its backward guitar. The backward guitar used in Tomorrow Never Knows was the lead guitar on Taxman(played by Macca no less).
Ha ha.Its not a stupid question. All they done was just reverse the tapes and voila. At the end of Rain, you can even hear John's vocal backwards.Apparently,he wanted the whole song backwards.
Penny Lane-The Beatles.A slightly less surreal ,fab song ,than the track on the other side of this wonderful single,Strawberry Fields Forever.
