hey guys :) hope everyone is doing great.
haven't been posting for a while, been busy and stuff

anyways i started noticing that my neck hurts because of the weight and my dreads are only a year and a few months old and not very significantly long. my boyfriend's dreads are about the same length but he hasn't had any problems with that. so i just decided to ermm.. see if they're lighter than mine and guess what.. they actually were A LOT lighter even though he has a lot of dreads and when gathered seem to be maybe even thicker than mine or as thick as mine..

i feel kinda funny asking this but have you noticed that kind of weight difference between your dreadheaded friend and yourself and any idea why is it so?

I don't have any friends with dreadlocks. My hair really hurts my neck when its wet so I have to hang them over the back of chairs I'm sat on to relieve the pressure.

Cut as in cut them all off or a few inches..? Please say the latter.

Don't let anyone tell you different, your weight is fine. Anorexia is a serious problem.

    Hah, kidding. xP

The weight could be because of thickness of the dreadlocks, maybe. Also, everyone's hair dreads a little bit differently, weight varies from person to person.

maybe just cut some length off if they're super heavy. mine don't bother me yet but they're pretty thick so I can see it being a problem after a while.

jared, that is sad you're cutting :( you should send me some to dye red and sew into mine ;)
actually, whenever Karla cuts I want to steal some of hers, I think her locks look most similar to mine than anyone's here.

yeah, my name is miguel, but It will probably be withing the next year or so, and it would be really fucking stupid (IMO) to cut just a few inches... no fun in that.

    Hilarious

I don't blame you, if winter wasn't comming I'd be doing the same thing, they're pissing me off at the moment. Next spring I'm pretty sure it'll happen.

I can't say I've had issues with the weight being a problem, maybe when they're wet, but it's more that they get in the way which is annoying, especially when they're wet and I can't tie them back.

Yeah, I'm keeping them for winter, but there's no way in hell I will have them next summer. At least for now.
