So check it out. I’m a moderately experienced user when it comes to shrooms or acid. I went to the beach a couple weeks ago, where me and my friend took 4 tabs each. At some point I stopped to stare at the sky. It was a visual meditation. Watching the sky breathe and move across the horizon. Fucking beautiful, but here’s where it gets weird. After maybe 30 minutes all of the sudden these lights in the air pop out. Swirling all around me like small fireflies. I could change my focus to view them directly in front of me or look at the particles 10 or twenty feet away. Instead of seeing empty air, the air was filled with what looks like Neon Dust. Even stranger, the next week when I was not tripping I tried meditating the same way on the sky. After relaxing my mind the lights re-appeared. When I was not tripping! Now whenever I meditating upon a well-lit scene I can see what looks like the dust in the air. Even indoors, though looking at the open sky during the day is the best. Anyone else ever experience this?! Has my consciousness really improved to allow me to see something extraordinary, or am I just going crazy?
Haha, the above post made me LOL. I get the static air thing on psys all the time, a lot of my friends have said they've had the same thing too. It stuck around for a while when I started getting HPPD from taking too many MDxxs to often. Good ol' LSD. :cheers2:
It just created a canvas man, being able to control when to draw and when to stop drawing is my problem...After that new canvas i had, ever since i first started having weed, i just wanted to draw and draw and draw..It creates canvas for reality.
yeah for sure. certain things I've seen, etc. on acid remain till this day. the last time I had cid was in May, and it was just half a tab. but the visuals I still have were intiated way last October, which was on 4 very strong blotters and was the most visual trip I ever had. Actually it may have been intiated in June of '08, I don't recall. But my closed-eye visuals are still incredibly vivid and dare I say divine in nature. Pot stirs them up pretty good but I haven't taken a puff in about 4 1/2 days and there still pretty vibrant. I still have the same internal dialogue with myself about whether my consciousness was "improved" to the point that I'm still seeing something very natural and native to my "higher self" or whether I'm just a little crazy or have brain cancer or something, haha. But my interpretation is usually based on how I feel emotionally. If I'm happy and good, the visuals are welcome guests and enjoyable companions. If I feel shitty then I start wondering if there's something wrong with me. But even then it's just what they call HPPD I guess. Recently I've tripped myself out thinking that those visuals are a "truer" reality and I'm slowly waking up from this dream of a life, similar to the dreamy state you're in right before waking up from night's sleep and certain things like a phone ringing will influence the dream you're having before fully waking up. Maybe those things from acid that stay with you are stimuli from a higher reality that you're gradually waking up to, and they seep into this dream of a life and influence it the same way. But that can be a scary thought; I don't want to have control over this dream of a life and have lucid dreaming in what we've considered reality, so I guess I keep hitting the snooze button even though those higher-reality reminders persist. haha I took some advil tonight and even that made the visuals more intense.
Sounds like floaters. Nothing supernatural about it. They are just things floating around in your eyeball, when the light hits them correctly you can see them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floater
idk tho man ive had some really realistic thoughts well tripping or not tripping..The idea of myself being a alien i dont find as a far out idea, i would actually consider it a realization into adulthood, maybe iam just nuts or maybe i just have a relaxed open mind or maybe i should just stop thinking or maybe i should care or maybe i shouldnt care or maybe i want to think more or maybe its all jive or maybe acid is some key to existence or maybe its what i described beforehand, all i know is that it was very strange. I consider myself getting better though, because ive thought of my veiws on reality before drugs and compared them now to then and see myself taking reality too far, lately ive been forgetting all that mumbo jumbo and not caring. It was a really different experience, kinda what i was expecting but at the same time what i wasnt expecting, it was a huge trip inside myself, thats what i wasnt expecting, i seen it was a very spiritual thing though and decided to not veiw it as something like that and i just want to move on. Damn i how did i get so crazy though is what i want to know lmao
If your on about little tiny silver flecks moving about in every direction then i get them quite often, i thought it was from a rise in blood presure .. ??
Nah, static air and floaters are two different things. It's usually called 'visual snow' or just 'static'. The static air is brought on by psychedelics and floaters are just bacteria moving around the surface of your eyeball. Like you say, when the light hits them in the right way they're easier to see. Especially if you look at the sky on a sunny day or something.
No, it isn't. Where did you get that from? Considering you didn't know what it was last time you posted lol. From Wiki... Visual snow can occur in a variety of ophthalmic disorders that can be diagnosed by the presence of additional clinical signs and symptoms. Persisting visual snow can feature as a leading symptom of a migraine complication called persistent aura without infarction,[1] commonly referred to as persistent migraine aura (PMA). It is important to keep in mind that there exist many clinical sub-forms of migraine where headache may be absent and where the migraine aura may not take the typical form of the zigzagged fortification spectrum, but manifests with a large variety of focal neurological symptoms. Another possible cause of visual snow is hallucinogen persisting perception disorder (HPPD) following use of LSD, MDMA, psilocybin or other hallucinogenic psychedelic drugs. In HPPD, the symptom of visual snow has been described[2] as aeropsia (literally "seeing the air"). HPPD can occur after a single dose of a psychedelic drug and with a considerable latency between last drug intake and onset of persistent perception disorder, so taking a thorough life-time drug history is mandatory in the diagnostic work-up of visual snow. In many cases, the neurological action for HPPD is not known, and the majority of evidence surrounding it is anecdotal and difficult to isolate. Another condition that sometimes produces visual snow is optic neuritis (inflammation of the optic nerve), caused by multiple sclerosis (MS). Moreover, a variety of illnesses (e.g. Lyme disease, auto-immune disease) or noxious events (e.g. prolonged use of a VDU, dehydration, over-acidification) have been blamed by sufferers in self-help internet forums as causes of persisting visual snow, but none of these claims have been confirmed by scientific study. Some patients fail to find any apparent causative illness or event in their lives, instead saying the snow came out of nowhere or has been with them for their whole life. Another suggestion is that visual snow is in fact always there, and it is not until adrenaline levels are raised that people begin to notice it. People who suffer from Anxiety disorders such as GAD (generalised anxiety disorder) often mistake "symptoms" such as visual snow and other natural/normal physiological phenomenons (blue field entoptic phenomenon, floaters, halos, light trails) to be life threatening, when in actual fact they have just not noticed them before.
From my own personal experiences mixed with common sense. Ever stand up too fast? Visual static everywhere. It's known as postural hypotension. A sudden decrease in the amount of blood in the brain = brain getting less air, which seems to cause the "visual static" phenomenon. huh? I'm not disputing any of this, but all of the above are probably not a majority-cause.
I've never got visual static from standing up too fast, just a light headed feeling. You said it was most likely foaters. HPPD seems to be a majority-cause, I can't vouch for the others though as it's the ony one I have first hand experience with. Myself and a good few other people I know have all experienced visual snow after using a lot of MDxxs or psychedelics.
I was making a distinction between the static air and floaters. I was agreeing with you when you said they were two different things.
...and not to make this any more complicated than it's already getting, but I actually have two different types of the "static air" that I've seen. The first is the kind I was describing - where you stand up too fast, or when you are about to pass out, and little flecks of white slowly appear, individually blocking out your sight in small little spaces, until they gather enough to collectively wipe out your vision entirely and then you are passed out. The second kind I think is what you are describing. I see these constantly, and rather than blocking vision, they are sort of enmeshed into what you already see, almost like a transparent snow-fall, or tiny bits of paper-mache. There is a Buddha quote that I believe is actually about this very thing. I can't remember exactly how it goes, but Buddha is talking about "the flower blossoms that bloom in a clear sky". Sound familiar? (The static seems to be easiest to see when you are looking at a monochrome surface). Anyways, to complete his thought, the Buddha says that men see the flower blossoms that bloom in a clear sky, and imagine them to be separate and outside of themselves, but they are actually inside of you, just like everything.
Nah, I was referring to this post... The second one sounds pretty similar but not exactly the same as visual snow. It's almost like you can see the air, it's made up of millions of grains.
Well my blood pressure is incredibly high then, because when i used to stand up sometimes i would start seeing white and one time i actually fell over...I still have pains in the back of my head every once in a while...Iam positive i have a blood clot of some kind or either a brain tumor, iam gonna have it checked out to be safe, either way if i can die happy lol edit-i remember the first time i actually fell over, i was on a bathroom floor twicthing and shit and all i was hearing in my head were voices telling me to let go and so i did what the vocies said to do lol, i was very relaxed until i woke up..It was right after a acid trip too.
...do you ever get this when you haven't been tripping? Do they even still have those blood pressure machines, in grocery stores and such? I know they had 'em in the 90s...
Yeh im not too sure, i was just re peating what some else told me about it happening with blood preasure rises .. Like others have said it seems to happen in differant situations so im prob wrong .. I also remember blacking out when i was 15 on a speed come down, i was in the bathroom having a piss when my vision blurred with these silvery white felcks started closing in and obscured my view i then just dropped and hit the deck .. Came round freezing cold laid on the bathroom floor with my boxers round my ankles and half soaked in piss ..
