So earlier tonight just as the sun was goin down I was standing outside a resturant smoking a square and passing a black and mild wine between me and a friend. We got arrested a few months ago together and both have court supervision. I decided to stop smoking but he has continued... Anyways as I was saying, we were smoking tobacco and we saw the black unmaerked charger with the same driver that got us the time we got arrested go around the block twice then a little later he came around the opposite way and parked across the street from us blocking in some parked cars. He gets out of his vehicle and walks over to us and asks how old we were and ask's for our ID's because he saw us smoking...(common there is people smoking everywhere around here, why us...) I'm 18 and my friend was 17. He askes a few more simple questions(for some reason I was freaking out) and then he asks if we were pullede over or arrested before and we tell him yes and that it was for weed. Then he goes on to say "it looks like you havn't learned your lesson because You look REALLY high" (he was talking to me not my friend) I have not smoked in about 4 months and my friend was high as hell. I was like "Me? I swear I am not!" and then he asks if he can search me and my friend, and since his my friends car was next to us he asked to search that too so we said ok. Anyways he finally let us go and went back to whatever undercovers do... Well anyways my friend couldn't believe he though I was high, and my friend(and other employee's at the resturant) said I don't look high, then I went home and asked my parents if I look high, and none of them say I looked high. This really bothers me for some reason. I've only had 3 encounters with cops. 1.girlfriend got arrested, 2.I got arrested, 3. this time. If I stay clean for a year and don't test positive I get everything off my record from my previous arrest and I wasn't doing anything wrong and this cop goes and tells me I look REALLY(emphases on really) high, this just really got to me for some reason. Anyways that's then lowlight of my day, otherwise it was awsome.
of course a cop is going to say you look high when you just told him you got arrested for weed. Cops just ask questions and make statements to see if you will admit anything, it is how they are trained. Your rights really do protect you alot from them until you open your mouth. He sees 2 nervous people standing smoking and he just wanted to see how easy you could make his job.
You know I hate to say this because alot of people get pissed off about it but it's true. I'm not sure how you look but I notice alot of people who get hassled fit the profile of somebody doing something illegal. I never got tats because I never wanted to be profiled and guess what? I never have been hassled. Is it right that cops do this? No but lets be honest people make snap judgements on how we look so if we want to avoid problems it's ok to be a fuck up just don't look like one. Once again I'm not sure how you look and I don't agree with profiling but if I were a cop I sure the hell would.
I have no tattoo's but I have my ear pierced, I look like one of the many collage kids walking around, It was sort of funny because I was wearing a shirt that said "Cops love me, they are always taking my picture" That's not true though lol. I just don't wanna be guilty until proven innocent because I want my shit off my record, which happeneds if I stay clean. As I said my friend was high as hell and I wasn't, and he didn't say a word to my friend about being high. This is the third time my friend has seen this police officer and talked to him, and he actually asked him why he was being profiled, and the officer went on to say he wasn't being profiled and that my friend has a pretty extensive history and that a history sticks with you and blah blah blah. But yea, I just wanna feel safe and not that i'm guilty when i'm not =/
that shirt alone i would be busting your balls if i was a cop........ thats one stupid ass shirt to have..... seriously your 18 now and you'll get pissed at me for saying that but wait in two year and thats if you mature and see how stupid that shirt is.....I don't blame the cop......I can see why he stopped you ...no doubt he didnt see what it says lit he got up close.....but if you think about it the best way to catch criminals is to stereotype....... sorry mate for being for harsh....
Nah it's cool man, I'd rather get harsh critisism. I need to know what to do and not to do, and its usually telling it like it is to get me to do something about it.
