my friend recently harvested some weed and the buds are mostly dried, i don't see any mold on them or anything. they're still a little bit moist though... i know how to dry it from here and all that, i'm just wondering if it's still cool to smoke if it's not fully dried yet? i sorta wanted to smoke tonight and don't want to wait a few days until it's totally dry. thanks.
I here people all the time that put away like an o for smoking while they wait on the rest to get dry. Its perfectly fine although expect it to be alittle harsh, and depending on the strain it may not yet be as potent as it would be dry, though still will get you blazed! how much did he harvest alltogether?
properly dry it, then cure, you'll appreciate it in the long run. if you HAVE to smoke, just dry it out in the oven around 200F for a few minutes.
it really wasn't very much, he just planted some seeds in the spring here and didn't expect very much. he did get one plant though, and he got like 24grams of buds not including the top ones which he hasn't weighed. not bad at all though when he didn't expect to see anything and got a nicely grown plant. edit: potency and all that aside, i'm just wondering if it's okay to smoke or if i shouldn't do it yet. i don't see any reason why moisture would make it dangerous but i like to ask questions like this to be sure
yeah true... man this kinda sucks, i got it too early... left some water marks on the inside of the baggie my friend put it in. was sticking to the bag and everything, i should have looked closer at this. i pretty much paid to do work what's the policy on returning weed? do you need a receipt?
yeah we've been chill for a while, i'll talk to him tomorrow. it does look like really good weed. i just wrapped up the buds in a paper towel, should that be roughly as effective as a paper bag at absorbing the moisture/drying it before mold starts growing and all that? all i have available here is paper towels, no bags. but they're extra absorbent.
i can get dark and relatively dry but it's pretty humid around here, and i really don't have access to a good dry place. how about wrapped up in a paper towel inside my wooden desk drawer? should i turn them/change the paper towel or anything or should i just toss em in and leave it there for a few days or so? all this for a gram... i need a better connect.
i would say, but em in the desk and keep turning them till they are good and dry, to make sure of even drying... but all of that for a gram!!! I hope its good shit well to the contrary- FREE WEED IS THE BEST WEED
lol wow.....smokin it wet works but damn it is so much better dried.........and even better when cured........it seriously not that hard.........hang a line of fishing line, bailing wire, shoe string, whatever..........just hang a line......get yourself some garbage bag ties and hang the fuckers up.......really not that hard...........don't over dry it tho.......when the buds are dry and the stems don't snap put 'em in paper bags for a week or so.......when everything seems dry but you know theres moisture in it still......throw it into the jars..........burp twice a day for 2 weeks then once a day on your normal burp routine if your a grower
right it's not hard when you grow a ton for dealing/personal use. it IS a lot to do for one gram that i bought in a baggie... buying gram bags shouldn't come with labor attached, that's the whole reason i buy personal in the first place... and who said this was free? i just didn't get a good look at it until i got home, i've bought from this guy before and we chill and shit so it's not like i wouldn't trust him. oh well it's obviously not the end of the world lol. i'll figure something out.
