So i will be leaving in May it was going to be june but im not going to wait. I was going to bring my dog but i don't think im going to beable too cause i want to avoid hitchhiking as much as i can and i cant bring my pup on buses... It will be my first time and im not traveling bymyself. So whats some advice that people can give me?? Maybe share some experiences and/or stories?
seems like a long way off, may. are you going to couch surf, or visit communes or woof? either way i think the best advice i could give is align your energy with that of traveling and being a traveler. Living in one place for a while you develop relationships and are quickly put into a mold. traveling is beautiful because no one knows you, you are free to be who you please, to experiment with ideas and it offers tremendous opportunity to develop as a person. also be cheap and enjoy free things. money is a bitch.
Yea, i know.. I have to wait til i graduate... Sucks. I was going to wait til june though. Well someone is going to teach me about trains and buses and stuff... we decided that we might visit some people but other than that we will have a tarp. Yea, and thats why we decided to travel.. i can't wait.
why are you avoiding hitchin? its the best way to travel and meetnew people. on a bus you dont really see much. Iv been hitchin since the beginning of june and have been to florida, california, and im in nebrska now waiting to go to the gathering in illinois( i started in delaware) trust me hitching is a million times easier then one would expect. lovin you'
I hear trains suck and they are slow. Im talking about the ones you buy tickets to ride. There are also cargo trains you can hop on, probably faster but more dangerous.
stash most money in shoe--have some in pocket to give to robbers---esp if your freight hopping your bound to meet those FTRA fucks--and they rob and beat anyone not in the gang--usually while drunk---im practically a fearless traveler but those ftra fucks scare me --they know the tracks and death follows the tracks--it aint hobo city anymore--u can tell an FTRA fuck cas they carry framing hammers on their belts
ive been traveling freight for about 6 years. every ftra ive ever met are drunk retards.they done run in packs like they used to. just find a few safe people to travel with ull be fine.
thanks for the up date as my info is at least ten years old----when they were real killers and derailing trains just so the fuc train people would leave them alone---and it worked too they were badassed but now u say burnout--i believe it
