Just sent in my order for some spores, I am excited. I am getting:

    Transkei
    Cambodians
    Tasmanians
    Palenque
    Texans
    Brazilians

6 different species syringes in a combo deal. I can't wait to get the mycelium growing. :D

make liquid cultures, colonize grain, spawn to bulk coir tubs, harvest, repeat.

no better way to go really. unless your the type of person that doesn't need an assloads of shrooms and a bunch of liquid culture around to make more assloads.

I am using a pf tek method.

Anybody had any experiences with these strains?

This FTW. Coir is the greatest gift anyone ever gave to a mycologist. LC is up there, though.

Wait, there are people who don't need shittons of mushrooms? I don't think I quite understand.

Cambodians are good, tough (slow) to colonize below 80. But thats true for pretty much every strain, except my beloved B+.

If a strain's too slow, you could always isolate a mushroom and make a LC out of it. It'll be lightning quick then.

I'm getting my B+ the day after tomorrow.:)
How hard are they to grow, in your experience?

ive dont a bit of research on growing shrooms (youtube instruction vids)... One thing I was wondering is about ordering spores... is it illegal? and do you worry about getting caught?
and is there a way to like reproduce them, like a spore print think? or another way to make your own syringes? Sounds cool. I may give it a try when I get my own place, it looks like fun...

And, can you use dried mushrooms to make a print or no?

It is not illegal to order spores, except in I think 3 states. I don't know which ones. You don't have to worry if you don't live in those 3 states. PM me when you are interested in a spore vendor. I can do that since they are not illegal right, I don't want to break hipforums rules at all.

You can reproduce them by making spore prints when you harvest them, they must be fresh. Then make the prints into a syringe to innoculate. It is all very easy to do, even my little brother is doing it, lol.

I love growing weed and getting to try it when it's all done and cured. Getting to watch it grow and reproduce and get ingested. I can't wait to try some of these mushies that are growing! I'm very excited.

:D I dont need any vendors yet. I still have to much time ahead of me to start yet...

I really want to grow marijuana for sure! Its like one of my life goals.. seriously.
But I think that growing shrooms is more low profile and harder to get caught. If im not mistaken... They dont need any lighting or lots of heat, or create any strong odors that I know of.

So far im not even a big fan of shrooms, ive only done them once and it wasnt a great experience, but I would still grow em for occasional use or for friends.

.... I wish this stuff was legal.... :(

    :)

Not illegal at all in the US, except GA ID and CA.

Yep, you can print them. It's what the pro's do, too.

No, but you could possibly clone it. It's not the easiest thing in the world, though.

aside from prints and clones, you can use healthy mycelium or spores to start liquid cultures. with liquid culture you can get 10 syringes of mycelium to use from just 1 spore syringe. not bad. and liquid culture grows faster than starting from spores.

You can also do mycellium slurries with grain jars, especially popcorn. You just inject about 60 cc of sterile water into a grain jar, shake the fuck out of it, then suck it back out. Inoculate with that as you would LC.

There's also cardboard clones, which are a breeze and refuse to contam, but have to be small because they dry out quickly.

There's spore dillution, where you inject 1 cc of spores into 10 cc of sterile water, thereby stretching out your spores.

There are a lot of different things you could do when 'noccing up some jars.

Theyre the same as any other cubes but they will colonize using pf tek as low as 70-72F, just takes longer. Before I had a proper incubation chamber this was the only strain I could grow reliably. The potency is just fine. I grew a lot of the different strains hoping for something different, something with more potency but I found they were similar. A lot of people who had previous bad or weak experience with shrooms told me the B+ was the best experience theyve had to date.

Ive only grown cubes but Ive never run into a strain that was particularly slow, it was always a temperature or moisture problem which was my fault.

Truthfully I never got into LC, I just grow for myself and a couple casings more than do it. Even when I was dosing fairly often in high school (every 2-3 weeks) a couple cakes covered me. My friends aernt into it so its just me. Im really happy with how things are working in my life so I havent felt a need to explore in a while. I seem to use mushrooms when I have really big life decisions to make and they seem to really show the truth of the matter. I havent grown in over a year and still have a big horde waiting in case I need them.

Anybody have suggestions for bulk growing? I am using a pf tek for my first couple times. I am interested in liquid cultures also, does anyone have a tutorial on it? I would like to try different ways of growing them to experiment the differences in growth and potency. I have never really done trip reports but I would like to start with the different strains to see if there is much difference. I plan to get 6 more strains after I master growing them and continue doing reports on the different strains.

I second the need for a tutorial for LCs, either one posted here or a link to one would be greatly greatly appreciated.
