There's a Dark Star Orchestra show at the Showbox in Seattle tomorrow, I was wondering if anyone here has attended one and what the scene is like.

Shit man, I didn't realize it was tomorrow until a bit ago, so psyched!

I hope they play Tennessee Jed!

Ive seen them at bonnaroo, but never been to one of their actual shows, so I really couldnt tell you what the scene is like. But they are a good band, about as close to Jerry as your gonna get.

Whats the scene like? Its the biggest damn Grateful Dead cover band in the world. The scene is full of dead heads.

    Should be a great show.

omg!!!! DARK STAR!!!! yea they are fucking awesome. they always headline vibes the first night every year. this year they played a sick setlist. ive never been to any real dead shows, but they sound just like the dead. at dso at vibes this year...scene consisted of all the true deadheads, deadlovers dancing around in the rain. oh yeah and they played sunshine daydream which was prob the best live song i have ever heard live. hit. that. show. up. :D

I got arrested in St. Louis after a DSO show. They play origional setlists and put on a good show. I personally think the Schwag felt like the "real thing" more than DSO. They played the Pageant and really i could not be comfortable in a huge bar in a huge city. the scene felt wierd- nobody knew eachother there were cops all over and people were just gettin drunk and not tripping

I've seen them In Boulder, CO. Mostly old school dead fans, and nothing was really being passed out, not a festival vibe, where as when I saw the Dead, plenty of hippie girls asking for Molly and doses.

Seemed to me the DSO crowd got done tripping many years ago.

    But DSO is good live.

Actually I lived in IL (SW) for 5 years and have bought more acid there than I have here in the PNW. Of course I just moved here like a year and a half ago so I don't know TOO many people, but there is some good cid if you know where to go.

    Namely camp zoe haha.

Haha so true. But a lot of them still know who's got the good stuff. OldHeads are more my style anyway.
