    looks great.. i need to get out and do a lil hiking here.. too bad its basically rained nonstop this whole weekend

    Yeah the scenery is awesome. Even the drive up there is gorgeous. I was going through more of the pictures and I really liked this one of a farm. Its somewhere in the middle of VT we pulled over cuz my buddy had to answer the call of nature.

    Back in the 1990s and early 2000s I practically lived in white mountains, and spent several summers summiting dozens of peaks [​IMG]

    The rocks BTW are Felsenmeer which is a metamorphic rock dating back some 400 million years

    Yeah there were a decent amount of people, its a pretty popular hike since its the tallest mountain in the Northeast. It's okay though everyone is courteous and its never really an inconvenience.

    This is true, I was also seeing a lot of quartz intrusions all over the place. It was nice to be there with no snow, I could see more of the terrain. Usually I go there in April or so to ski Tuckerman Ravine and everything is buried under several feet of snow still.
