Im a swimmer and i constantly shave my pubes but the one thing ive noticed is even though it can be nice to not have hair it makes me look like a 17 yr old with 2 yr old penis. Has ne one else noticed this and do girls like this look?
I think men that shave their pubes look slightly strange, and a little bit femminine maybe. When you're with a guy that shaves it just feels and looks strange.When you're naked in front of someone either a girlfriend or just other people when you're showering it's going to draw attention to you. I shave my pubes and I've had a few snarky comments from other women that assume I'm making some sexual statement. Incidently shaving your pubes because you're a swimmer?? does it really make that much of a difference?
I've heard that a lot of swimmers shave their pubes, but I never could figure how that could make any difference to water resistance when under their trunks - not that it would be likely to have that much effect anyway. Not that I'm opposed to pube shaving, however - far from it. I've been a regular shaver of my pubes for years, and have only had positive remarks about it from all my sexual partners, both male & female. There was the time when the very idea of anyone shaving their pubes, especially a man, would be considered as the height of being perverted & weird, but it seems that these days, probably due in no small amount to the effect of the internet, pubic shaving is rapidly becoming more & more the 'in-thing' of personal grooming. After all, very few of those who appear in the online porn videos have pubic hair - and I'm not talking about the faked studio made ones - I'm referring to the home-made amateur ones, where couples have simply filmed themselves having a bit of fun & put it online. Perhaps with this becoming such a common trend, lessons in safe pubic shaving should be included in sex educations classes in schools?

A lot of the popularity of shave pubes is down to porn in my opinion. I think their's kind of a disturbing element in the way men like women to get rid of one of the things that mark them out as fully developed Anywho I started mainly for hygine reasons when I was in the army, anway once you do it once you need to keep doing it or it comes back like a rain forest.

ok jus so all u people know this shaving ur pubic hair when ur a swimmer isnt necessarily for speed it so when ur in an over exposing speedo u dont have a bush sticking out the sides
I shave and my husband had cut his pubic hair but not got rid of it completely. It makes blow jobs more pleasant because I dont have to worry about getting a hair in the back of my throat.
Whilst I can understand the pleasure of shaved balls and trimming the rest, completely bare looks bad to me on a man.
As long as you're not flashing your jewels in public after a pubic shave, and/or have a satisfied partner, who cares how it looks down there! Regardless of if it looked gorgeous or horrid, it won't effect your swimming. There's no problem with shaving, in my opinion. I think it looks sleek.
I prefer both men and women with their natural hair intact assuming they do not resemble sasquatch LOL but I would not turn down an offer just because they are shaved. Trimmed is really sexy but no hair just seems a bit un natural to me.
