So at my 6 week postpartum I wound up getting the shot of depo provera and I went from no spotting to bleeding for like 3 weeks straight and it's getting on my nerves and I feel like my moods are all insanely whacked now... and supposedly it could be a side effect of the depo... sooooo Im asking who has used what and what kind of experiences have you had?
Depo terrifies me. I loved the convenience of the pill, however it did kill my sex drive a lot. In fact, all the different ones that I tried did.. I've been off the pill since December and I've noticed so many positive changes in myself ever since.. I doubt I'll ever go back to hormonal contraceptives to be honest. Condoms are awesome because they obviously have no side effects. Ok yea, they're a bit of a hassle but my fiance doesn't mind and at the moment, it's still a lot less of a hassle than having a baby would be..
i was on alesse for a long time, now im on the knockoff of it (generic of it, called aviane) and ive had no problems with that either. its a fairly low dose pill, and not a triphasic one which is good for me (triphasic pills, like ortho tri cyclen, make me faaaaar more susceptible to yeast infections... think 4 in a 6 month period or so)
