does anybody know exactly how to crystalize iodine tinctures with hydrochloric acid and peroxide? Ive done it once but wasnt sure of how much of what to mix in and kind of winged it. Im pretty sure if i knew quanitities i could yield more crystals. Thanks

wouldn't it be more economical to use potassium iodide instead of iodine tincture? With potassium iodide you can form iodine with hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Or with just concentrated sulfuric acid. There are a few youtube videos on it which might be worthwile to check out
im not sure if it is more economical or not. The process seems to be the same and tinctures is what is available around here. And its hard to find as it is. THanks though
